It was a very good rearguard action by the defence. But if Shota had got this result people would have said he was lucky and 'it didn't really count' lol. Some threatening breaks but not as clinical as hopefully it will become. Connolly hasn't quite been so good shooting the last couple of games, we need him back in finishing form. A day of upsets really, Rotherham beating Norwich.
Are you calling for a hit on yourself? There is no backing out later. TwoWrights will give me your address.
Can’t wait to see what we’ll be like with the new additions and everyone fully back from injury Exciting times!
Some right moaning arses in here. Well done Rosie and the team, couldn’t ask for a better 3 points away from home.
The way some on here talk it's like we lost today. We just beat the team that was top of the table, who had won every game this season. UTT
To be honest thank god for a win today. After reading the transfer thread yesterday if we had lost it would of been a bear pit on here.
Reminded me of that Boro game a couple of seasons ago, only with the goal 15 minutes from the start rather than the end
Any win is a good win. I didn't see it so can't comment but as much as I have reservations over Rosenior you can't really pick fault with going to the top of the league and winning no matter how you do it. I genuinely hope he does really well and proves me wrong, there are signs on occasion of us looking OK, I just wish he would cut the chat and get on with it. We have a half decent squad, his squad, so let's see what happens. Today was a good start and we are 6th in the league.
Leicester boss Enzo Moody Maresca told BBC Radio Leicester: "We cannot think that we will win every game. Defeat is normal in football. "We started very good until their goal and then for 15 or 20 minutes we lost a little bit of balance and control. "In the second half we were in control and creating chances. Sometimes the ball doesn't go in. "I don't know how many shots we had. When you produce a lot you need to be clinical." Hull City boss Liam Rambling Rosenior told BBC Radio Humberside: "It feels great as we have come to a massive club with a fantastic coach and team. "Not just the win, but the manner of the performance and the way we stuck to our guns and pressed the ball. We played some outstanding football. "I have been here for eight months and we wouldn't have been capable of doing that when I first came in. That's why I keep saying it's a process. "All in all it was a really good day and hopefully it gives the lads confidence that we can have a successful season."
I can't believe I saw criticism of Slater in this thread. He man marked Dewsbury-Hall out the game today and nullified one of the leagues best midfielders. He did his job
Dewsbury-Hall was in no way marked out of the game today. ****ing hell the amount of leeway Slater gets is crazy. KDH was probably the best player on the pitch.
Rubbish. Dewsbury-Hall had space in the second half when we sat deeper but first half Slater was genuinely not letting him out of his sight
It's funny how perspective changes things. From mine, Slater gets a crazy amount of criticism and scrutiny for someone who has performed so well for us, scores goals, wins penalties and swept up at the POTY awards. Feels like after a brief period of acknowledging his value following the awards night we went straight back to talking him down all the time. Clearly from yours you see it differently. But I think if you look back at the first few pages of this thread it'd be hard to argue he got a lot of leeway. He was getting absolutely slammed.
