These two won’t be the answer mate. The recruitment in the summer was ****ing abysmal and the fact we haven’t even tried to play different and make the same subs is all on Howe. I mean it’s just the same as Man City early days. They had some English backbone, bought the likes of Bridge and stuck with Hughes for a bit before the ruthless pragmatism takes over. We are in that phase. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Staveley bought out and replaced at some point, and Howe won’t be here in a year.
Bruno's heads been turned I reckon and when we've refused to meet the wage demands during contract negotiations he's not been the same. The fact he's snapping at fans on social media shows he's not thinking straight. Miggy should have gone before Maxi in my view. Selling Maxi for £25m to fund a move for a 4th rb was insane.
Roly has every right to go off on one tonight like, i'm finding myself agreeing with a lot of what he is saying.
Maybe i guess, all doesn't seem right internally going off that. There is getting beat then there's that, no one seemed ****ing interested, almost the complete opposite from the attitude of last season. I'm just a bit confused with the last two games.
I think we're just facing reality tbh! Half the side is still Mike Ashley's . I don't know how they got 4th , but I guess the league was poor in general.
I said another striker aswell and i still think so, because Isak and Wilson starting is our strongest team , but then we have no striker off the bench which is probably why Howe doesn't start with it. We have added more depth to the squad but we forgot to strengthen the starting 11, apart from Tonali.
Against City, nobody on their team marked Burn - didn’t need to as our players didn’t want to pass him the ball. If I’m Bruno, or Tonali, or Isak, I’m probably expecting an improvement there. We spend £30m on a teenager instead. We have - almost comically - tried the Miggy one-two this season a few times and did it again today, and it was almost funny to see that somehow Howe thinks it’s a relevant pattern. Today Brighton tweaked and changed things as the game went on, like City and Liverpool before this. We just did the same stuff at the same speed making the same subs (more or less) and none of it works - but nor should it. I’m dumbstruck by the insipid predictability of this team. Howe just looks lost. Like he did latterly at Bournemouth he doesn’t seem to have any clue what to do and instead will just do the same stuff in the hope the old magic returns. To be honest, the owners and Ashworth look as out of their depth as Howe does. None of them are top 6.
I have to say since he came in it's not been great ,but then again Howes refusing to play the new players and taking them off unfairly too. I cannot fathom why Barnes Tonali and Hall cannot get in this 11 at the same time .
Bringing Tonali off ahead of Bruno is wild like, i know Tonali did that **** clearance for their first goal but he was better than Bruno, as he has been in every game, Howe is making the easy decision too often at the minute, it's like he doesn't want to piss Bruno off but he has been ****e.
We're lacking effort. Plain and simple. We're not pressing with the same purpose and intent that we did so well last year. We have a very, very slow back 4. when they are pushing up its being punished by the ball over the top or a through ball with a pacey player. Pope's positioning is baffling me at present. Teams have also worked out the Burn stepping inside to make 3 centre backs move, and are now pulverising our left back slot. It's being targeted. added to that we are playing with 2 number 6's who look like they've been told to play as number 8's we're all over the place.
