The mindset when the game is like this is to play the end of the game as if conceding a goal means relegation.
5-2 FT. Mixed first half, but a largely excellent second. I think that Kompany's formation change at the break helped us out, but I can see why he did it. Bit disappointing to see us coast at the end, if somewhat understandable. It's great to see us playing good football again and we're getting the results, too. Still lots of work for Postecoglou and whoever the incoming Director of Football is. We're showing some great signs, but there's a long way to go. As for Burnley, they've had a tough start to the season, but I think they'll be alright. They'll have a lot easier days than this one and will trouble a lot of teams.
Lovely victory. Great to see Sonny back scoring. Disappointing to gift a goal away late on, but that's nit-picking. But that also showed up Hojbjerg as a player who will not be a successful part of this team. Whether by ability or attitude, I really wish we didn't have to look to him as cover for the first choices in MF.
