City getting a helping hand from VAR. Player offside jumps over goal bound shot and offside not given.
I was very impressed by their dedication to the style of football that he wants to play. When we started dominating possession they didn't retreat, they got on the ball and kept it. He's transformed them in a very short space of time. Next City manager?
When was the last time we scored 2 goals or more in 4 games on the bounce? Burnley are a good team at home so we need to keep our concentration. Another good comparison with last season where we were ahead v Leicester and Southampton away but only ended up with 1 point from those games.
Spurs not wearing their normal first kit is obviously confusing him. Looking at the replay, it appears to me that the GK thought Romero was going for the near post.
Interesting first half. Spurs CM has been bad, but not so bad as to give Burnley reams of chances (so Spurs have not been "riding their lluck" ) . Scoring : Spurs are averaging a conversion rate of one goal every 3 attempts on target (dunno if that is good etc - one for FFS methinks) .
Brownhill and Delcroix replace Gudmundsson and Berge for Burnley. Trying to change it up in the middle and removing a caution, I think. Oh, he's gone five at the back. They played that last season, IIRC.
Odd observation, but has anyone noticed an uptick in the quality of our goals so far this season? Not that we were scoring a bunch of Brexit Ball tap-ins and headers from corners the last 3-4 seasons, but we seem to be trying to make Goal of he Month a genuine decision this season...although Yago Santiago is intent on walking it every month by the looks of things
James Maddison. Take a ****ing bow. Udogie with the assist. I’ve got Udogie, Madders and Son in my FPL team
