I'm not going to panic about this. Firstly, THB will be a big upgrade at CB and we've got 2 weeks until our next game where everything will have settled down after the transfer window. Analyse the game Russell, then draw a line under it and move on.
It has been poor today but we lost the game in the first 6 minutes and hopefully that won't happen too often. We are in an experimental period and I have said before that the results were likely to be mixed to begin with but at the very least we have a clear plan and method that the players and fans can get behind.
Ugh, turned off early. That was an awful footballing performance from Saints. Sliced open at will, and totally unable to create anything. It really should have been 7 or 8. Bazunu ironically kept the humiliation to a minimum. Charly has to play. A couple of bad games is to be expected once in a while. No one else can pass it through the middle. Exactly the same issue last season. Anyway, won't knock Martin too much just yet, but he seriously needs to get a grip of this team, because if he fails to make top 6 with this squad, then it would be an absolute travesty.
Fully deserved Sunderland No excuses, didn't play anything like the way we can all over the pitch. It's after games like this where RM will earn his money and our respect.
What I am worried about is we played exactly like we can. Conceding goals at will has been our power move. He needs to sort it.
