Someone correct me if im wrong, but in any post match interviews has any opposing manager come out and said Hull City has a fantastic manager and team, whilst in the 30 games or so we have played under him, we have played 30 excellent teams with 30 excellent managers. Last weekend, Nigel spent about 10 seconds talking about us and concentrated on what HIS team had done or hadn't. It's just plain naivety and maybe thats why perhaps he doesn't have the dressing room completely.
Makes out like we’re a National League North team facing a Premier League team in the FA Cup. Weird mentality to go into the game. Sorry but I don’t think any manager in this league should have that attitude against any team, even recently-relegated ones.
What coaches say to the media and what is said to the players is often completely different. With the media they are trying to take pressure off the players and downplaying the expectation with us fickle fan base.
It looks as if Tufan is out, so I would go with Twine at 10, and Lokilo on the left wing. I know it didn't particularly work well last season when it was tried, but would Christie be a better option that Traore on the right?
I agree, I think Christie is a better option on the right than Traore. I’d keep Twine on the left for now though if it means having to drop one of Traore/Slater to fit Twine in the centre.
Christie looked knackered when he ran out to his position when brought on as a sub last game and then didn't tear the game apart after, looking a long way off fitness at the moment
Leicester are ****. Leicester is ****. City are not. If we dont play … New Signing New Signing New Signing New Signing New Signing New Signing New Signing New Signing New Signing New Signing New Signing … then it’s been an embarrassing deadline day City 3 - 0 ****
I thought he looked a bit disinterested last time out, maybe he doesn't like playing second fiddle to Coyle?
Not sure those new signings fit a 4-3-3. Play new signing and new signing as a double pivot, new signing as a false 10 and new signing as Pirlo / Bobby Moore type and your line up could work. Hopefully new signing and new signing on the bench to come on to shore things up late on.
Just listened to the full pre-match presser with Ryan Allsop, comes across as a decent lad, speaks well. Clearly, even though he didn't say directly, things last season at Cardiff were unsettling and not easy, and he seemed to want to be out as soon as our interested was evident.
To be fair, I thought the same, but just put it down to only getting a few minutes towards the end of the game. I just feel Traore doesn't look comfortable on the right wing, and often tries a difficult pass which loses possession. Christie, if his attitude is okay, I am sure Liam will know, might just give us more protection down the right. There again, maybe Allayhar, if he doesn't leave, might coming back into contention on the right.
Can't see anything but a loss in this one. No shame in that as I expect Leicester to walk away with the league just as Burnley did last season. Their residual PL quality will be too much for most teams and unfortunately I think that will apply tomorrow. Foxes 3 - 1 Tigers
