Makes me think that there is an interim level between the Championship and the Premiership. Sort of like a Championship + They score for fun in the Championship, but struggle in the Prem. I mean look at Arma. 4 goals already - more than he had scored for us full stop in 2 years.
Here in Hong Kong the storm has arrived! We’re all stuck inside whilst Super Typhoon Saola rages through. Perfect for an evening keeping up with all the transfer news!
Tbf we said that about Ings’ 10 goals and Brojas 6 or whatever it was in summers previously. Appears it is a lot harder than it seems on paper, appreciate we are in a different league now though
Mate you are being facetious trying to compare PL goals with the championship. You know as well as I do that both those players are exceptional in this division
Lol until you are watching TV and this happens "Over to St Mary's now for an absolute astonishing bit of Transfer news coming i.." And the power goes. Seriously though, stay safe!
Not really. I’m saying that they’ve never been stellar performers in our colours. As Tom says, the point is that it should be far easier to replace (at best) very average PL attackers in this division. Adarma being a case in point. Hence why I find it confusing that people are in a rush to bin Mara off, but are having heart attacks about Tella leaving. (Though I will say that I think Mara would benefit from a loan). On Mara, both his mother and stepfather are well known TV personalities in France. I do get the impression he’s very rooted in France, hence why he may have found it hard to settle here.
There 100% is, remember Adam le fondre, Dwight gayle etc etc. We had two of them for the season. Now we have potentially 1 in Fraser who looks like he will be great at this level.
Because Mara has looked awful in every appearance. Tella was in the championship team of the season and already been our most productive player. There is a huge difference between ‘potential’ and ‘productive’ players. Under SR so far they have got rid of all the productive players in lieu of potential. Which has cost us PL status. I am hoping they learned their lesson but we will see today. We need players that produce, not players who flatter to deceive
Bias in our thinking is incredible isn't it? I thought about 17 for Che. I kept seeing all those one-on-ones when he shanked it wide or straight at the goalie.
