Unbelievable mate, honestly. Embarrassing.

 

I stopped listening when one of them made the comment that the club had "decided against promotion" by refusing to replace Ross Stewart (at 48 hrs notice in Jan)

 

Ridiculous eh. Actively trying to sell our players?? What because weve got 10 million for a player who played 15 or so games for us last season n who wont sign a new deal

Obviously need to bring a couple forwards in now, but 10 million will help us improve the squad

 

Mate, he’s flying down to Southampton tonight. Why wouldn’t that be him?

 

Agreed, sadly they do have influence on a lot of our fanbase and shape the mood, online at least, significantly. You see people parroting their lines all the time.

 

The only positive I’m taking from Downies post is that he’s mentioned a fee rather than it being “undisclosed” hopefully that means a fee has been agreed for someone eg Cannon as a replacement and we’re not trying to hide what Southampton have offered for fear of being priced out of signing a replacement by a club knowing how much we have received

….does that make sense????

 

There's a very narrow window between Stewart leaving and a new signing for people to criticise the club imo.

To me this is just like Stewart's career ended at Fulham and the medics have just confirmed.

 

£10 million for a player just recovering from a serious injury in the last year of his contract is not a bad deal to be fair. However it is very important now to bring another striker in.

It's such a weird mentality.

 

I don’t think you’re getting my original point that I clarified later on. I’ve no doubt he’s off but I don’t think that pictures a recent one. My main point is I’m sick of people trying to get exposure and clicks from what is a negative story on our front, these are from supposed supporters as well and it just destabilises the fan base all for a few retweets or 10 pence ad profit on their website.

It's a tough call and no way to be sure until max intensity is applied in game situation. Have to consider his height too, that can effect recover and reoccurring injury possibility.

There has been research into the recovery and level of performance once recovered and it's about 1 in 5 don't come back and perform with same intensity / same level.

Have to take into account his grade 3 ruptured Quad too though, that's also a monster injury that could go at any point.

Overall, contractually, his injury record and other factors, this is why I have said for a long time he would leave this window. The second injury screwed a contract signing.

 

I’m not desperate at all, I know he’s off if you read my above post or the one I posted after my original point it’s quite clear.

Yeah he is but he just seems really pissed off in his interviews and sounds like he’s using them to get his points out in the open.

 

Honestly, if he goes and we end up with Rusyn & Cannon, we better off overall.

Wont be enough though, no matter who we sign folk will bitch on.
