I agree that he's another journeyman under achiever, but most Managers fall into that category to be fair.
Bentley and O'Leary have different qualities is Max better than Dan probably not yet. Would i like another Keeper yes but a NO 9 is a must-we look powder puff up front. I hope we get one in before the window shuts.
Anyone listened to NPs interview on BBC. NP has 'put it out there'. "When you get a fee like you get for Alex Scott what it does then is generate a narrative of why aren't we spending the money ... I can't answer that." Like his honesty, wonder if it will be his downfall.
Tells me that he’s not in control, or not asking the right questions of board. Or, the board don’t trust him. I see trouble ahead here.
Agree, SL doesn’t like managers that tell it like it is, NP obviously will be the one to go, but fans will blame SL for not investing money that’s been generated. He’s better at it than SC, who was in a similar position but didn’t handle well and became the scapegoat, Nige is too canny for that, he’s kinda set his stall out, he’ll do the best with what he’s got, but failure will now be perceived as due to lack of investment, very clever.
