Very, very few people were up for it. I thought we were mad not to accept the offer.

Dier for me, from day one, was made to look vastly better than he is by playing alongside Jan, Toby and Dembele.

Extremely limited player with huge concentration problems and imo his greatest flaw is that he thinks he is better than he actually is.

He was at his best during his first few years with us, that goes without saying. He used to be very mobile for a big man and had the situational awareness to play that DM role dropping between the CBs for Poch, and then played as an outside RCB when we used a back 3 too.

Then he seemed to bulk up, had some injuries, and lost the mobility that covered some of his concentration lapses and inconsistencies. He survived since because nobody wanted to buy him and successive coaches have liked his decent ability on the ball and his character, which I don’t think has ever been in question. And because we had defensive managers who didn’t play a high line, the mobility issue wasn’t as bad. But his departure is long since due ultimately.

Dan KP says we are preparing our bid

That's the shot, here's the chaser: Kilpatrick also says that we have a bid for Conor Gallagher on the backburner, though it's dependant on Hojbjerg leaving

Not sure about being made to look good from day one, he had three very good seasons regardless of other players and played a huge role in Poch being able to change formations/ transitions mid-game but then the illness, injuries and bulking up seriously caused him to lose a ton of pace as well as agility which he initially had for a bigger fella. Absolute liability these days though and his departure is long overdue but I felt for a considerable while at least, he was a very decent player to have.

David Ornstein is reviving Man Utd loaning Reggie

Lyall Thomas, meanwhile, claims that Dier wants to see out his contract, even though there is interest in him which is just...what?

Sanchez also had a very good season with Jan and Toby coaching him through games.

Those two and Dembele would make me look world class.

I've always seen him as a very basic player with a ceiling lower than he thinks it is.

Definitely worth the £5m or so we paid for him, but not accepting £50m was madness.

Tom Collomosse claims that Forest would be interested in Sanchez being included in any Brennan Johnson deal

Tough one: do we use Sanchez to get a fewm million off the Johnson fee, or do we sell him to Monaco to pain Adarabioyo into joining us?

Usually I’m always in favour of sending youth players out on loan but Dane’s loan leaves us even lighter at ST after Kane’s sale.

So as of right now, we have an abysmal first choice ST and a young one who it’s already been said won’t feature in the first half of the season…

Someone please make this make sense.

In which case he should not be given a squad number...if he wishes to waste a season of his career that's his choice.

the only thing I can think of which can make some sort of sense of it, is that it WON’T be months before we see Veliz. But we’ve chosen the narrative that he “needs time” so that Richarlison isn’t completed disillusioned, bearing in mind we’ve got a new manager.

Tbh a disillusioned Richarlison makes little difference to a fully enthusiastic and up for it Richarlison, bloke’s dog **** either way.

We’re leaving Ange up **** creek without a paddle.

The only thing I can guess is that the club has a plan cos selling Kane 2 days before our season started and bringing in no one is beyond stupid and will cause a serious backlash from fans

Or Son is going to play through the middle?

Which top striker do people think that we'll fail to sign tomorrow, close to the window closing?

Genuine question...if we do not strengthen the squad after selling Kane what will be your take on it?

Son as an option through the middle (Johnson also does that for Wales) and take a view on the market in January when Toney is unbanned, we have more of an idea of what Veliz will look like, and just generally the picture is clearer. Not what I would want us to do but I’d be willing to bet this is the rationale.
