I think also getting in 2 strikers, Rusyn + 1 other forward is so important would take the pressure off Hemir & Mayenda and allow them time to adjust to at least give them a chance to succeed within the cauldron

As mentioned in previous reports KS has always stated that there is squad succession planning so hopefully we should of been well prepared for Stewart leaving albeit the timing is ideal much like the timing of his injury in January

I was once at a business club lunch at the sol, while ES was still in situ, discussion round the table was about a transfer who we hadn’t completed, the answer from a very senior club official there was “well he was discussed at length, but Gary expressed concern about him”, the Gary was Gary Hutchinson, the ex sol barman, true story that. From then I never wondered why we failed under Ellis, heart and pocket in right place, terrible football people around him.

Improving things off the pitch is 100% in the interests of the club ...

... surely no reason to believe they dont want to improve things.

There's already been lots of work done on the stadium facilities so I'd expect that will just carry on.

I'm still hoping the other forward is Cannon. If we get those two in we still need another cm. Fingers crossed we can get deals over the line.

I think we need another striker if/when this RS deal goes through, do I think we will get another after Rusyn? No, I reckon they will push him off as the replacement. I would love to see a Jack Cork type come in, plenty experience in a key position and another winger, someone that can cover both sides. Other incoming would depend on outgoings.

Yeah hopefully they improve. Obviously referring to ticketing issues, last minute kit release/availability, fan safety in the stadium.

I agree with all of that and am sure the club do.

They want supporters to be happy but also need that money to progress.

Sky reporting Saints at £7.5million for Ross and we have said no.

That doesn’t scream penny pinching ownership to me. A perennially injured striker in last year of his deal and we have declined a few many of us (including me) would find palatable in the circumstances.

If we pull £10 million out of this situation we have done brilliant work. Ross may fully recover and saints have a bargain, but we’ve had to try and negotiate the sale in a minefield.

One of Short's biggest mistakes - if not the biggest - was losing Peter Walker and not replacing him. He was an excellent CEO and for Short to replace him with that Irish sounding Lawyer, who's name I will not speak.......was a ****ing joke

He's leaving. So let's get as much as we can for him. I like that approach

Be interesting to see what happens if we don't sell him tomorrow

It's nuts, you've still got our fans all over social media saying KLD/Speakman will sell at first offer/for pittance in response to things like the Ekwah interest story from yesterday. Again, where does this come from, who have we sold that we wanted to hold on to for below value in his tenure.

I'd push them up to 12-15m. Play hardball. They've got the cash.

We already at a good fee given the uncertainty of his fitness and contract, and we still pushing back.

Like we did on Jack. Allegedly Ballard.

We have ****ed the striker situation but generally folk are pissing into the wind claiming the owners are tight, with no evidence to support this line.

We haven’t signed anyone for fortunes, that’s the only thing, but we are 7 years outside PL, there’s your ‘why’.

£200 million debt 4 years ago. I’m sound.

I still believe that we'll be showcasing at least two more signings (loans or buys) before the deadline.

This Club has not failed in improving the squad at every window since KLD arrived.

So I see no reason why this model will change things this time...

    I have faith.

Aye looks like we looking for £10million.

I’d be adding goals, promotion and sell on bonuses to that cos if he’s fit and under contract longer he’s double.

2 centre fowards, cdm and winger needed.

Rusyn, loan striker, cdm and maybe Virginius?
