Oh yeah, my bad. I think it’s because I’m so used to Spurs and Chelsea usually being straight into the 3rd round automatically (as they are regulars in Europe), but they’d both played in the 2nd round due to neither of them qualifying for Europe this time around. It warped my perception <laugh>

    Very tough game.
Chance for squad players to show their metal.

Peps such a great manager but whenever they lose he's got to take swipes at the referee and imply something was unfair.

Its pretty cringe if you ask me.

I wish we had signed Bellingham.

It's normal to be that good at 19 - he's going to be the best player of this generation.

**** weekend so far. Spurs win, United win, Chelsea win, my FF team has crashed and burnt. To finish it off now, sods law we lose tomorrow. And then if Chelsea beat us next week they're only three behind us.

You really think thats gonna happen?
The most we can hope for is a 0-0 or a 1-1.
Our defence is good, in fact we have only conceded one more than you guys, but we still cant score for ****.
7 of our 11 league goals scored this season were against Luton and Burnley, who are both 90% likely to be relegated.
Aint no way we beating Arsenal my dude, you dont have to worry.

Football is a funny game. You can never say never. And I don't like being overconfident before playing anyone because results can be unpredictable.

If we're basing it on probability, I agree Arsenal should be expecting to win this game. But lots of variables (internal and/or external) can come into play that mean we don't.

We still have to earn the right to win, so let's see if we do.

Well yeah it wouldnt be the weirdest thing to have ever happened.
    Just cant see it though.
Would be funny if you shut out Haaland for 90 minutes only to then concede against our weaksauce attack tho <laugh>

Yep no games are a given. We saw that against Lens. Most people would have had us down as the favourites going into that game, but we were 2nd best and did not deserve anything.

I think Chelsea will up their game against us, but hopefully they will remain as crap as they have been so far this season <ok>

Pitifully low expectations, lowballing yourself just so you can have a win-win situation whatever the result. You’ve scored six in your last two league games, neither of which were easy away grounds to go to.

Chelsea dont need any help from me to lowball themselves.
The last two results have been encouraging, true, but its a big jump from thumping relegation dead certs to beating a title contender.
Not saying its impossible, just dont see it.
I see a 1-2 Arsenal win or maybe a 1-1 draw if we keep it tight at the back

Soo Everton get docked 10 points.

Still no sign of any punishment for City & Chelseas constant abuse of FFP though.

The only thing I can think of is that because both Chelsea and City are richer and more successful than Everton, they have the resources to afford stronger legal counsel making it more complicated for investigations to be that straightforward because there are more hoops to jump through.

It's also because City are facing more than 100 charges. Everton faced one and admitted they were over the limit so a much more straightforward case. City are denying everything so will take a lot longer to investigate them.

10 points seems quite severe - If Everton get relegated now, think how much money that could cost the Club.

I can only imagine what will happened to City if the punishments is proportional.
