If you want to compare like with like, you'd search Chelsea and Leeds and you'd get nowhere because it would be full of searches regarding the places rather than the football clubs. Chelsea FC is the first, easiest way of specifying you're on about the football club from Fulham; Leeds United is the first, easiest way of specifying you're on about the football club from Leeds.

So it is a like for like comparison to be honest. And I don't get why people are making our like search traffic doesn't mean anything. Of course it does. The more attention a club gets from people, the more fans it has and the bigger a club it therefore is. There are few other ways of measuring it.

We got bigger crowds than you pre-Roman so don't see why you would assume that would change.

 

If that's true then fair enough you have the biggest away support by default by being in a lower league than the real big boys who have limited away allocation. Be fair to say if you were in the P.L you wouldn't, so hardly bragging rights.

 

We always got bigger crowds than Leeds. Even in their heyday they could never fill elland road unless united came to town with 10000 away fans

 

How many Chelsea fans would still support there club if they didn't have there rich benefactor, and were subject to the high's and lows of normal clubs?

 

We'd have less glory hunters obviously but no reason to suggest the solid support we had in the 90's/early 00's would be any different.

Just because we've had success recently don't assume (ass of u and me) that every Chelsea fan follows the club because of it. We have no more glory hunters than any big club (except Spurs - their fans could never be called glory hunters!!)

well if we brought 10000 of our own fans to the stadium, then the away fans would need to bring 30000 which doesnt make sense. do the maths
