All this talk of outfield players going, we need a back up keeper urgently after last lights show , if Levy is interested I have a large oak door in my garage, it certainly would have stood more chance of stopping a penalty than Forester did last night , I will chuck in a letterbox for nothing ......
Bit harsh on Forster because he made 2 or 3 very good saves to keep us in the game...but agree that he was poor with the pens Was on the train home with Paul Hawksby sitting a couple of seats away with his mates (he's one of the very few decent talksport presenter) and he described Forsters penalty attempts like watching your nan fall over over
Fati links keep on arriving. Multiple journalists saying things such as: Ange is a big fan and has promised him a starring role. Fati prefers us to Chelsea. Fati’s told Sevilla he wants to join us and it’s just down to us and Barca agreeing terms. Can’t remember where I read it too but it was implied that we’d still want Johnson even with Fati, it’s not an “or” situation but an “and”. Ange gonna create a formation that has two LWs and two RWs I think. We’ll not be far off from making an XI of wingers/ wide forwards.
And now Lyall Thomas says it is an “or” not an “and” situation, which probably makes more sense. He’s also saying Sanchez is increasingly likely to stay. For **** sake. Well done, Levy.
Tbh, I think they've decided its more important to get rid of Dier. Can see us having to pay off several contracts after the window closes tbh (like we did with Rose and Aurier).
Both should be shot, let alone sold. We rejected a €9m bid last night for Sanchez. Utter stupidity. Agree though that’s the route we’re likely heading down which would likely be avoidable if we just accepted bids.
Very much agree with this. Hasn’t really been in the club’s plans for some time yet it sounds like our haggling over the fees of the loan has scuppered his move to Torino.
It’s disappointing how such a promising window has come to such a stalling point. Prior to the opening game we had signed 3 much needed players for the starting XI and picked up a decent backup for no fee. Fast forward a few weeks and despite being flush with cash we appear to be unwilling to take hits on players we desperately want out the door and have not been able to force the likes of Tanguy, who has ideas way above his station when it comes to where he should be playing, out of the club. I know there’s a lot of nuance in the statements above but it’s just disappointing. Hopefully we have a bumper last couple of days on both sides of the fence and we’re all feeling a little happier come Saturday.
My mate is a Barcelona season ticket holder & says it would be risky. One of his friends there is an orthopedic surgeon who thinks that the original surgery on Fatis knee was ****ed up and he doesn't think he will ever recover fully. He has lost a lot of confidence and is a shadow of the player that appeared on the scene 3 years ago. You have to assume that Spurs would do the required medical due diligence.....
We shouldn't touch him with a bargepole, judging by the supposed terms. We bring him in for a season and it works, then Barca get back a recovered, top player. We bring him in and he breaks down again, then we're paying his wages for nothing. We need to bring in a striker and a very good one, at that. Someone proven and who can at least compete to be in the first XI. Failing to replace Kane in the squad is simply unacceptable. I may accept signing a top prospect who can come off the bench, but even that's a stretch.
Le Parisien claims that Ndombele isn't going to Genoa And so our hopes of getting shot of the bugger begin to look like... please log in to view this image
OK 49 Hours of the transfer window remain and we need to complete about 8 deals mainly out, but also at least a couple in, does anyone really think that we can pull it off? I certainly don't we may get a couple more out on loan and bring 1 wide forward, but I honestly don't see any other business being done and I think most of us will be very pissed off at 2300 on Friday night.
Nope. When we’re already rejecting generous offers for deadwood and pissing about with loan fees for others, I think we’ll probably shift about 3, bring in 1 and then be left with the dilemma of likely cancelling a few contracts/ having multiple players unregistered. And the 1 brought in won’t be a replacement for Kane. We have sold our star striker and arguably greatest ever player and won’t be replacing him. Tottenham ****ing Hotspur.
