I wonder who is in this group. ABK and Sulemana seem given. Not sure there could be many more. But small group is more than 2 I would have thought. Anyone else not really featured at all and been linked away? McCarthy ?
I think Sulemana is a promising player, but what exactly has he achieved to merit such a move? Can’t see anyone offering enough for him at this stage. Not as if relegation was a surprise when he joined either.
Ideal scenario is surely to retain Che and bring in Stewart. Allows us time to let him get fitness back and should Che want to go in January we have a replacement already in and hopefully ready Idle speculation: Stewart has a sell on to Ross County. I wonder whether we apportion the funds differently and sign Roberts. Although he also has a sell on for Man City on a very small fee. But (according to FM which I take with a pinch of salt) the Roberts percentage is lower than the Stewart one Can’t imagine we actually do that as it is quite sneaky and we seem to have a good relationship with Ross County So incoming might be: Stewart (or another striker) New RW (apparently a priority) Wood Drameh (if available for a reasonable fee) Not sure we will be in for a second CB as Stephens is apparently not as badly injured as first feared. 6-8 weeks out Wonder what has happened to the extra midfield body Martin seemed to want. Numbers of potential incomings don’t seem to add up for that too
That’s not the way footballers think. Add to your point - it’s not like he did much to prevent the relegation either
Sulemana, ABK, Adams, KWP, McCarthy & Mara were all training with the others from today/yesterdays images. I can't think of many others that would be in that group. Unless it was as of today rather than this week. Onuachu is the only one not pictured in training today/yesterday.
Perhaps the pictures are all yesterday despite some being released today ? And maybe that news about Sulemana today has seen him moved to a different session and a “anyone else”. Not sure really
Wonder why Mr Bailey is so confidently discounting Leeds ? It will be interesting if we get someone else in if Che goes due to the injury. Although I don’t recall that being one of the scenarios mentioned by Russ earlier
Still need to wait until Saturday to see the lay of the land for all teams, but yes barring a huge swing the 3 relegated teams look far better than anyone else on paper. All 3 relegated teams are in for a lot of movement in the next 72 hours though so hrd to say who is best placed out of them. If Leeds keep their forward line and add a decent CM and CB I’d say they are the best on paper
I dunno. We regularly sing we are by far the greatest team the world has ever seen, so surely we have to be confident of winning the league?
I remember a game where MLT was being man marked…defender was virtually wearing his shirt. Matt bent down pretending to tie his shoelace, then sprinted off to score when the defender’s mind wandered.
I wonder if it has been somewhat telling that no one has been in for Rutter. I don’t think I’ve heard any rumours. Lots of people were envious of their big money striker signing but he didn’t have a good goal record and didn’t fire in the premier league. Should be good enough for the championship. Interesting that he didn’t have one of those loan clauses on relegation unless the newer signings didn’t get one. Or no one wants to loan him They’d do well to beep both the wingers. And that would be met with much gnashing of teeth on here I expect if ours both go edit : apparently there is Rutter interest but Leeds want their investment back which they might not get as it was high.
