None whatsoever and our problems look to continue. Perhaps a late goal from us will compensate ROD for the extra couple of quid he forked out to watch this rubbish. Don't hold your breath.
It's all over at 0-1 for Norwich. Same old garbage from City based on the audio commentary and I now see 3 testy games before us over the next couple of weeks.
Subs were wrong imo. Dickie and Naismith didn’t protect Tanner who was having a nightmare. Should of put Vyner on and moved Naismith into Kings position. Never thought I would say that. Rumour is though Swansea want him.
Not seen the game - entertaining my 88-year-old dad at his favourite restaurant. Just seen the result. 1-0. Not unexpected tbh.
Not surprised A pattern has emerged we need a NO9 a attacking midfielder minimum. For me a long hard season is a head without this. 5 games tells me we ain’t going to score enough goals.
You keep saying this No9, but can't be any old No9 surely?.......every clubs dream is a prolific goal scorer...Can we/ Nige magic one up? I've not even heard Nige mention it was a priority? Do you think he is listening to you? A lot of fans not happy with Nige on Social Media https://www.facebook.com/bristolcityfc
Not fussed about going out of the LC at this stage But what is concerning for Championship survival is the lack of goal scoring opportunities we are creating, and on top of that how many we are actually converting when the rare chances do come along. Sounded like men against boys again last night
Can tell in this interview he knows we are weak in certain areas but has no scope to change it-he will walk at the end of his three year contract- Steve L SAID FUNDS GENERATED BY SALES would be invested back into the team. MMMM that is not happening.
If the axe does fall on Nige, and I really hope it doesn't, everyone will know who to blame and the causes behind it. The situation must be like a boxing match when you have not one, but both arms tied behind your back. It was an uneven playing field before now with the big clubs having been relegated getting the parachute payments to make quality signings. Now it's like a bog, and we're stuck in it looking for the usual cheap way out. As the well known saying goes 'you can't polish a turd'
In fairness, he had funds but choose to use it elsewhere. He could have looked and saved on Mehmetti and Cornick (and I’m not an hater of either) and bought in another striker. Andy Cole’s son probably would have come on the wages we were offering. Alex Scott position I think Jason Knight albeit not as good as Scott (which we knew would not be replaceable at prices we could pay) will do a job there. We can blame SL all we like, but Nige would have been in talks between SL and PA regarding wage ceiling and would have agreed it.
Nige knew the parameters when he came, and has openly stated he won’t spend for that sake of it. If he didn’t like the parameters , he didn’t have to sign the new contract. He also knew, as we all did that Scott would be sold, so it was up to him to recruit to cover that loss. If Nigel doesn’t think he has the wage bill to attract what is needed, it’s up to him to challenge SL on this. One of the big accusations against previous managers was that they were yes men and didn’t have the ‘stones’ to stand up to SL, but someone like Pearson would. It’s rapidly coming to the time for NP to show if he has the ‘stones’, or is he just a yes man like those before him? What we don’t know of course is, what is the target for NP and City. We all knew under LJ it was a big budget with an expectation of a big finish, i.e., top 6, he didn’t deliver and was sacked accordingly. If the budget is reduced, so must the expectation, so is SL’s target for NP, just to be mid table, who knows?
