Funniest thing is, I'd say every fan that's managed to go to the new stadium at least twice will probably tell you they'd do anything to have WHL back.

New stadium's lovely to look at don't get me wrong and even the interior's done nicely for fans... but something just doesn't hit the same as the old girl. Old stadiums are/ were just a different breed.

I'm just fat that's why I didn't make it pro.

On my life I can play better technical football than Davinson Sanchez and probably 5-6 other Spurs players, I'd just need to be allowed to snort cocaine during games or ask the other 21 players on the pitch not to run so much,

Or maybe he's putting those players in the shop window, also getting some gametime into them.

Our biggest problem is moving players on, prospective buyers would like to see a potential purchase playing.

If this were true, then we wouldn't know about it, by definition.
What polls would they be, then? I'm going to guess it's on social media of some description.

For the life of me I can’t work out why, once again, in a cup game, we made so many changes.

we’ve only played 3 prem games, and have basically 1 game a week for most of the season. Yet we play a side full of players who aren’t up to it, some of which have needed moving on for ages. What did we expect making so many changes to a winning team? It was a recipe for disaster, and one we’ve sen before.

all I can think of is that Ange wants to show levy that he wants more help to implement his vision for us, and that meant exposing players who he’s already seen enough of (as have the fans). - I mean he’s worked with the group for long enough now to pick a very decent starting 11 that’s controlled matches, so surely he also knows who is gonna fail, too?

it’s such a shame that it’s come at the expense of a cup that we should really have taken seriously this season.

But after last night who would buy any of the ones we want to sell, probably put off any suitors for any of the dross we want to lose, it's a double edged sword they play well and Ange probably keeps them play like they did and wipe another few million off of the price.

    This, 100%

The 'can't play 3 games a week' line doesn't wash at this stage.
Even if we were not only 3 games into a season in which we have no European football, there's an international break looming and a mid season break in a couple of months or so.

Rotating 1 or 2 key players now and again is fine - and in all likelihood, minor injuries and suspensions will make those enforced - but changing 9 players for a cup tie against PL opposition was excessive. And we paid the price.

    Hopefully it's a lesson learned

This is just nostalgia. It was ok for people who had season tickets I suppose but I would never have got one at WHL. It was also not capable of raising sufficient cash to improve us.

Jeez… I forgot about the international break!
There has to be more to it. It just makes no sense.

Otherwise it was just incredibly arrogant to think that we’d walk over Fulham away from home.

shop window seems to come to mind. Although last nights performance has probably lost us millions! <laugh>

Apparently Everton are in need of a striker. We’ve got one they know quite well. And he scores goals!*

*(Let’s not tell them that he only achieved 26% pass completion and lost possession 19 times last night, though.)

I think it is about 35 times which is probably worth at least £150m in additional revenue to spend on players. Basically for every concert, NFL, boxing and Rugby League match.
Levy got this one exactly right.

I think as TCM has said in response, we’re in a situation now where playing some of these players only decreases their value.

Not playing them gives off the idea they’re just not part of a manager’s plans and that can possibly sway clubs into thinking there’s a deal to be had for a player who can do well elsewhere. Yet after Rennes €9m bid for Sanchez being rejected yesterday, if their people had watched his performance last night, I’d imagine their next bid - should one even arrive - will now be €4m.

Anyone who changes their valuation based on one match is bonkers.

You only need to watch one game of some of ours to realise how dreadful they are.

If you’re mad enough to watch multiple then you’re just a Tottenham fan.

Martin Palermo just had 'Nam Flashbacks, as the Copa America match where he missed three penalties killed interest from Spanish and Italian clubs dead
