That looks good on paper. At 26 he should be coming into his prime and he can also play on either wing. His scoring stats for club and country look good:

Leeds have already signed Piroe (he scored at the weekend) they also have Bamford and Rutter (purchased for £36m last season). I don’t think they are after Sargent as well

I'm not saying we blew the budget on midfielders we just seem to only sign them , wingers mainly

Eric Mundle-Smith, 18 years old defender, has apparently been offered a contract by us. No indication it has been accepted yet. Not sure why I wrote that last sentence.

It seems that the sale of Sargent is possible, even with a major injury. Reported that NCFC are watching Kuchta from Sparta Prague. This possible sale seems to suggest that NCFC want to make some money more than keeping a striker who looks like he is about to become very prolific.

Having investigated further the Pinkun now reports:

"Norwich City are not interested in signing Sparta Prague striker Jan Kuchta before Friday's deadline. Reports in Czechia had credited the Canaries with an interest in the striker but Kuchta is understood not to be a target for David Wagner and Stuart Webber in the final days of the window."

Interesting rumour while it lasted. :(

Only details I can find on this player. The @NorwichYouth twitter account highlighted his performances whilst on trial:

Months not weeks, still assessing if he needs surgery.

If it is months, perhaps that makes it easier to convince a Premier League club to loan us a young striker? We're starting Idah and Barnes every week as it stands, a loanee is going to get 30 mins every game no sweat, and likely make frequent starts. Mubama at West Ham, Scarlett at Spurs...Zeqiri at Brighton still hasn't played a minute or got a loan out, he's Swiss and has had loans to Basel. He'll know Wagner and special agent Klose can put in a good word again?

Nelson Oliveira is a free agent..?

If Omo was leaving I doubt very much the club buying him would have allowed him to play last night. So I cannot see that as happening.

If a move was imminent/agreed, then yes, but equally we don't play again until after the deadline so this is potentially his last opportunity. If he has an inkling things are heading in that direction, I can understand it. Does seem odd that his post-match actions were noticeable enough for several fans to independently comment on it, and Chris Goreham on Radio Norfolk said a photographer at the ground made a similar remark to him.

    Fuel to the fire?

    Wagner on Sargent's injury:

“We are still waiting to have a clear picture. But what is sure it’s a serious injury. So we speak more about months than weeks. We have to make a further assessment with him. He sees a further consultant and I think we have a clearer picture at the end of the week to know how many months and if he needs surgery, but it’s a serious injury. Which is what we expected. It is ankle ligaments.

To be fair, I think after this performance we’ve seen we have a good squad and we have a reliable squad, even if the squad is not huge in terms of numbers. We had some young, inexperienced players and we were competitive. But at the end of the day while the transfer window is open I will not deny anything. But I feel we have a good squad.”

If the club fails to take action to replace Sargent or Omobamidele (if he leaves) and that leaves us struggling then fans are entitled to be disgruntled considering the disasters caused by injuries in previous seasons. Complacency doesn't cut it.

"......while the transfer window is open I will not deny anything". Sounds like they are considering a loan/transfer to cover Sarges injury period.

Reality often doesn't cut it either. Has anyone seen one single sign of club complacency since the end of last season?

Also rumours of a £7m fee, but I can't see that, unless it's a loan with an agreed fee.

20 year old striker, Cannon was at PNE last season, 8 goals 1 assist in 21 games after joining in January. He started pretty much every game for them, with PNE playing with a front 2 predominantly.

Whoscored describes him as a counter-attack threat who likes to dribble, good at finishing and through balls, but poor at staying onside, passing, and holding onto the ball.

If there's any legitimacy to a £7m bid, surely Omobamidele is gone.
