Just had a nosey on a Brentford forum and there's plenty on their saying he should be getting more game time, so I doubt he'll be going anywhere.

Plenty on Villas board saying Philogene should stay. I guess the difference is that one appears to be pushing for game-time and the other seems content where he is.

And one is valued at less than a quarter of the other.

You really think anyone would pay £20m+ for KLP now?

Both tymon and klp were let down by their greedy agents turning their head
Jarrod Bowen developed here and stayed longer and it benefited him in the long run
Ehab was a **** but strange how Bowen had no problem signing the contracts but tymon and klp did

Still probably higher value player than Philogene but his stock must have fallen due to a years worth of inactivity.

Tymon was a completely different situation, he only ever made five league appearances for us, he'd proven nothing and just happened to have Stoke fancy him.

And crucially, which for some reason always gets forgotten, we never gave him a pro contract. He remained on academy terms until he left. The KLP situation was one thing. But the Tymon thing was an absolute shambles from City.

    At the back

After a long summer of searching for a goalkeeper capable of challenging Matt Ingram, Ryan Allsop has emerged as the one Rosenior believes is the man to compete. Allsop's move from Cardiff has perhaps not grabbed the attention some other arrivals have, but the City boss is convinced the 31-year-old fits his system and will improve under his guidance.

A new defensive arrival cannot yet be ruled out and like is so often the case in the closing stages of the window, the domino effect would need to be in full flow. Should there be a departure from the MKM Stadium, then City would look to go into the market and recruit extra cover.

    In the engine room

The club's desire to recruit a defensive midfielder came into focus when they lodged bids with Derby County for Max Bird, only to see those overtures rejected initially before the 22-year-old picked up an ankle injury that will keep him out for two months.

And though that's a deal City may well pursue in January, for now, Rosenior is keen to bring in another option. The club are believed to have had a couple of options, but Liverpool's Tyler Morton is seemingly towards the top of that particular wishlist, though a host of other clubs are also keen.

    A new winger (or three)

Liam Rosenior made it abundantly clear in the early part of the summer that attacking options were top of his summer shopping list, and adding those were a key part of his plan of attack. Jason Lokilo has already arrived and if the manager gets his way, he'll have three more in the door before kick-off at Leicester City on Saturday.

Jaden Philogene is on the verge of completing his move from Aston Villa, and City hope if Crystal Palace sanction the loan departure of Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, he'll pick the Tigers above a host of other clubs.

That move will likely depend on Palace securing cover in the wide areas before allowing the youngster to move to the MKM Stadium on a short-term deal. Hull Live understands that a third wingman could yet arrive in a move that would surprise one or two, with the so-far unnamed player already having held discussions with Rosenior.

    Up the front

Keinan Davis remains a live target, with the Aston Villa powerhouse viewed as a player with the capability of making a significant difference to City's fortunes this season. Davis has other options, both here and abroad, though Rosenior remains quietly hopeful the 25-year-old will make the move to the MKM Stadium.

Wasn’t that only because he refused to sign them.

Germany star Nadiem Amiri shocks Leeds by REJECTING a £5m transfer after he flew in by private jet to look around the city with his family.

Looks like we’re going to loan out Simons and Vaughan as well. Simons must be thinking ‘I could’ve stayed at Chelsea and gone on loan again to a League 1 team’.

Wouldn't be in contention for their first team on his return though would he? In fact if they were happy to sell him to us then they'd likely to have been happy to sell him to someone else also - so there's no guarantee he'd still be at Chelsea anyway.

Sounds like a development loan that both club and player would benefit from as opposed to him not having a future here.

    Same with Vaughan.

You’re right and there were League 1 teams like Charlton that were apparently interested in signing him permanently in January but he was convinced to join us permanently instead. To loan him out now to a League 1 team all seems a bit pointless for the kid.

Not really as he's at a championship club when the loan finishes not a L1 club.

If it is the case that he is surplus to our requirements long term then I'm sure L1 clubs would be interested in a permanent, so why are we only loaning him if its not purely for his development?

I agree both careers spoiled by moving prematurely.

This must be what it feels like for my Missus.

Promised the Earth and very little transpires.

    Clock ticks on.

    Nothing.

    Nada.

    Zilch.

    Tick tock. Tick tock.

    No sign of any action.

Eventually a fat bloke waddles up and says she'll have to make do with him as all the best ones have been taken.

But at least he's loyal and reliable.

Just not what she was expecting.

    Or indeed wanted.

Edit: Oops, a Freudian type there. Not my Missus obviously. Some other fat blokes.

    Probably someone's off here.
