Good Morning. It's Tuesday 29th August, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Amiri deal off Leeds have admitted defeat in the pursuit of German International midfielder Nadiem Amiri. The 27yo had boarded a private plane (Monday morning), that the club had laid on for him, and given a guided tour of Elland Road before sitting down with club officials to discuss personal terms. A fee had already been agreed with Bayer Leverkusen, so personal terms should have been a formality; yet he returned to Germany last night, having rejected Leeds advances. Amiri's days at Leverkusen look numbered. He remained benched at the weekend against Borussia Monchengladbach, an indication he is not part of Xabi Alonso's plans. Leeds have been lacking that creative influence ever since Pablo Hernandez returned to Spain two years ago. Time is quickly running out, in their pursuit of a No 10, with just three days of the Summer transfer window remaining! please log in to view this image Palace to swoop for Sinisterra Crystal Palace Fanzine site 'Thepalaceway' allege that Luis Sinisterra may be on his way to Selhurst Park, before the transfer window slams shut on Friday They're claiming exclusivity for the scoop, insisting that Leeds are holding talks with their South London counterparts regarding a season long loan, with an option to buy! Leeds would be absolutely crazy to let Sinisterra go. His performance on Saturday at Portman Road proved his worth, not only by scoring, but gifting Piroe an easy rebound after Hladky could only parry his (Sinisterra's) goal bound effort. please log in to view this image Terms agreed with Paintsil Conflicting media reports regarding Genk forward Joseph Paintsil, are causing confusion between two of the Championship's top clubs. Both Leeds and Southampton have been tracking the versatile 25yo for several weeks, but according to the most recent article in Football Insider, Leeds would be the Ghanaian International's first choice, and they have already agreed personal terms with him. Paintsil is prominently a left-sided winger but can play attacking midfielder. He scored 18 goals in 39 matches for Genk in all competitions last season. Although Leeds have lost the services of Jack Harrison, they certainly have more pressing areas to fill, other than a winger, especially on the left where Gnonto and Sinisterra operate. Could either be leaving the club before Fridays deadline, allowing Paintsil to come in as a ready made replacement? please log in to view this image
Morning everyone... Palace? i seriously doubt that story is true. That rumour was started last week and just another example of clickbait. So the kid has gone back to Germany let's move quickly on then. Rads and Orta just lined one up at a time. I hope the new board have learnt from the past seasons and have choices. Players are not to be trusted and even if we made that lad number one target the club should have been telling another player the same.
Morning all Amiri has changed is mind so many times it's getting confusing. It's time to move on and get the next one on the list. We know how quick deals can go through at this point in the window. I'd say it's stupid selling Sini but this is football and he's Prem standard. From what I understand we're in for somebody at West Brom. Regarding our goings I see Lyon are after Rutter. Will be interesting to see if he wants to stay. The Paintsil thing is confusing as Genk weren't happy with the swap deal that was proposed and we hadn't hit Genk's asking price. Does anyone know if Glen Kamara is actually happening?
Rather than a loan, I’d say that performance has added a few more millions to the asking price. More importantly, we have a better chance of promotion if we keep him.
Bye bye Amiri goodluck guess he doesn't know what he wants I hope it turns out to be your biggest regret of your career but we move on can't wait for timewasters. we are always going to get linked with players away as the leeds platform is a media highway for clicks. all we have to do is sit back and enjoy the ups and downs of this week. 1 day it will be a high the next a low like yesterday and now this morning its going to be like this all week.
Morning all. It was noticeable that Piroe played as the deeper forward with Rutter staying higher as the 9 during Saturday's game. Which of course means he could play the same role with Bamford when he returns after injury. Very tidy player Piroe and he will surely score plenty of goals for us but defensively it was more of a token jesture than any real desire to close down and win the ball back. Farke will have to find the right balance but it does look promising. Bottom line is he's a really good signing and I'm surprised clubs like Everton, Forest & Luton weren't in for him.
Just a quick reminder Three and a half days to go Where are these incomings paddy promised. We need two full backs as Drameh is junk and Ayling too slow. Byram and junior asprin are sick notes. Why did we sign Byram it's a waste of a squad place.
Been reading that two faced Amiri wanted a get out clause if we failed to go straight back up. Club told him to go **** himself.
The worst thing is we could have cashed in on him 2 years ago when Spurs we're having that problem with Kane and they were sniffing around for Posh Paddy.
