I see Brennan Johnson is likely to move from Forest to Spurs for £50m. When KLP scored for us against Forest a couple of seasons ago, they seemed to be of a similar level. Has Brentford not given him enough game time to improve, or has Johnson always been better than him?
The longer the Davis nonsense drags on the more I don’t want him. Clearly would improve us but the blokes treating us with contempt and I aren’t a fan.
I think the forward line is ok i would keep Oscar drop interest in Davis as we have Sandat also, we have Philogene coming in hopefully Rak-Sakyi and Morton so midfield and wings are good then i would use last couple of places on the backline as i think we need to strengthen there more than anywhere else we are pretty short on quality maybe bring Cox back.
Acun maybe be thinking about deadline day and all the publicity the clubs get on Sky Sports so i think maybe we will get a few announcements on Friday not sure but he obviously knows what deadline day is like and Fans and news going to the grounds if they think they may have stuff in the pipeline.
We have no idea if he's treating us with contempt or not. He's 25 and at a crucial point in his career where he's not played much bar 2 loans. Quite rightly if he has options he should be thinking about them. I'd rather him decide on us after thinking about it than rush into a decision and regret joining us. If we had this logic with every player we should be getting rid of Seri because we certainly weren't his first choice until Acun convinced him
Fancy mulling over a couple of job offers, ungrateful bastard, should just take the first thing he was offered. The **** him.
I know I'll get some stick for this but I always felt that KLP was over hyped - he was (is) a good player but lacked the physical strength (and sometimes courage) for the highest level. He's often compared to Bowen who was no giant but had much greater physical presence and this has obviously been worked on by West Ham. I haven't seen much of KLP of late but suspect that, strengthwise at least, he doesn't compare well with those above him in Brentford's pecking order. I do think that this wasn't an issue with Brennan Johnson who really was the better prospect overall.
Combo of prem money getting mad and the need for quality homegrown starters due to registration. KLP for all his talents doesn't go for half the money we got for him if he was Italian
