……Coyle to Delap to Toure back to Delap to Tufan. GOALLL! City 1 Brizzies 0 Ok first two were Ingram and Jones (rather than Greaves and McLoughlin).
The pass was sloppy yes... I was more concerned with his couldn't give a '...." effort to make up for the mistake..
Went to see Brid Town vs Liversedge, yesterday. Liversedge had two huge lads up front and launched it most of the time. Even had a long throw expert. Brid edged it 1-0, goal by Glen Sani (ex City U18), after great work by Lewis Dennison. Glens second goal for Brid in 5 games.
Think every league game should be seen as as a measure of a top 6 finish otherwise we are aiming too low.
We have a young manager that clearly cares about the club and is doing his best to implement an attractive style of football. We have a passionate owner, who has made football at the MKM more affordable than at many League Two clubs. Our attendances are back to respectable levels after dropping below 10k in the darkest days under the Allams. We’ve got an exciting mix of young players, local players with some real talent amongst them. But the negativity we’ve seen this season has been constant and widespread. What do people actually want from football? We’re competing with one hand tied behind our back against the big clubs with unlimited funds from parachute payments and player sales, promotion would always be a long shot. Then say we get promoted, it’s hardly fun getting spanked by teams that have spent hundreds of miliions on their squad, whilst sat in a stadium full of tourists. The best we could hope for is to become a Brentford or Brighton and buck the trend, but it’s clear they are the exception, and if history tells us anything they will both likely end up back in the Championship by the end of the decade. Just enjoy the fact we have a stable club and the people in charge are doing their best. Whatever the result of this season, I’ll be be enjoying going to games with my family and grateful for the clubs position because it wasn’t long ago it was looking much worse.
Whilst I think Acun has done a great job in getting the crowds in, I, personally, don't find the style of football entertaining at all. I find it formulaic, repetitive and incredibly frustrating. Maybe I don't particularly like modern football as I watched Man City vs Burnley and didn't like that either. I appreciate I may be out of step with many, but if I wasn't a long term fan, I don't think I'd bother.
Whilst i agree Mcloughlin hasn't had a great start to the season he is definitely a decent player. Greaves is better though in my opinion.
Surely you dont agree with us passing the ball among our back four for a few minutes rather than using that time to attack? Bristol City had plenty of time to ensure they had their preferred defensive formation.
Because at the end of the day, football is about entertainment. I want to see my club playing decent football. Everything else you mentioned is a bonus. And right now we have everything else except what matters to some.. and that's entertaining football. Plus we're English and never bloody happy
This is the issue. To us as fans it is entertainment but to those employed by the club its a result above all else industry.
I disagree. I want my club to win even if they dont provide entertainment. I would rather win 1-0 than draw 4-4 in an exciting match.
