Newcastle adopted a patient cautious approach and unfortunately it didn't work, however if it did everyone would saying it was great from Howe. If he changed nothing Newcastle would probably have won though. I'm over it , but that's probably because I don't see Liverpool and City as direct competition yet despite last season. We're in with Brighton, Villa , West Ham Fulham and Brentford in my eyes for the next year or two then they'll kick on again.
Was a tactical clusterfuck. Again. No plan b, barely any plan a. Why TAA wasn’t got at time and again is beyond me. How Almiron is a PL footballer with no right foot is unacceptable. Did you see they STILL kept trying that stupid 1-2 with Almiron and it didn’t even come close to working. Bruno’s abysmal pass for their winner as well, coupled with Burns garbage positioning. And if botman is injured that back four looks bang average at best. I mean, VVD fouls 20 yards from goal. Remind me how many free kicks Schar has scored vs Trippier? How much stupidity can there be in one game. It wasn’t working so why did we keep doing it and make like for like subs? Braindead. I’m still furious about it.
Liverpool defended well I think we need to credit them more after sleeping on it. I'm not disputing Howe's changes were bad, but Liverpools were good and unfortunately it was one of those days. If Newcastle win next week it will be a decent start and they can win the next 3 imo.
Im just watching the game now as i was out all day yday. Brilliant result for us tho, especially after that ridiculous red card for the 2nd game in a row, cant complain with 7pts from 9 after playing you and the chavs. That tindall blokes a massive dickhead btw a proper embarrassing **** really i dunno why howe puts up with his disrespect both to himself and opposition benches. Got what he deserved yday.
Jees just popped on twitter to find a sea of mental gymnastics. We've got several posts having a go at anyone criticising howe... this means it's begun.
Think Brighton will beat us. The storm is coming, it’ll be frustrating and interesting in equal measure.
