Not sure about Gordon tbh; he had good moments and got at Trent but he didn't do it anywhere near enough imo, he should have been screaming for the ball and repeatedly running at him until Trent was either subbed or sent off. ASM would have destroyed him.
Also think our subs played a part tbh. Jota and Elliott came on and actually won the ball and played a few passes, got us into the game a bit more
I don't think newcastle will do bad enough but if you lose 3 or 4 in a row the stories start, the fans start and owners start panicking. Changing would be a disaster but know this club and how it'll go if Newcastle lose next week.... this fanbase self harms.

I don't see Newcastle as challenging for top 4 again.. top 8 would be a good season and even that won't be easy.. Unfortunately the media and a large % of our fans will see 8th as failure because they think what happened last season meant more than it did in reality long term.. Newcastle need another 400 million on the pitch and that's 2 or 3 years away.
