Not giving a very blatant foul initially that could have contributed to said sending off...? We're not going to get anywhere here mate as we're not going to agree. What's your thoughts on Howe? Some of you seem to be turning in him
I was very surprised with done of the changes he made. Couldn't believe he took Tonali and Joelinton off, they were running the midfield / the game
After all the mcmahon gifs we have had to endure You would think they would have a sense of humour about today I thought it was funny
Duck me talk about only sing when you are winning I always thought you geordies were the salt of the earth stick with the team no matter what sorts
A classic case of a manager over thinking things and trying to be clever guess.. I mean when you're only 1 up vs Liverpool you don't take the piss. He's made a mistake and I'm sure he knows but tbh I think his 1st error was not throwing the kitchen sink at you lot after the red. They thought they could play around with Liverpool and pick them apart.
Still like him. He needs to learn though as the margins are a lot less forgiving at this level if you make a mistake. Klopp is thought of as being good because he makes less mistakes at this level in comparison to other ‘top’ managers. I would guess he did but he learned. Those turning on EH I would say are a vocal minority with short memories and no patience. The players need to learn lessons, EH does as well. I’m prepared to give both some time and avoid knee jerk reactions.
Tonali looked very good today, was very surprised to see him go off (and Joelinton) and I think that lifted is a bit too.
The sad fact is that Newcastle have another very difficult fixture next week and if Newcastle don't win Howe will be under pressure. The media will peddle it big time regardless of what we think.
Tonali and Gordon being subbed changed the tempo of the game. We weren’t hurting you lot up to then but generally had the whip hand. Subbing both changed things completely. Tonali looks class.
