He had to go. Isak was the last man and Virgil took his leg before the ball. Saying that, I know what you mean.I wouldn't have given Virgil a red, but I understand why it was given, think I must be going soft.

Not a red, behaveEvening. Not a red, he wins the ball. People taking proper ****e about him making contact first, that's a normal part of football. Trent though![]()
Taking a leg before winning the ball happens in every game, there's always contact when you make a tackle. He had to go. Isak was the last man and Virgil took his leg before the ball. Saying that, I know what you mean.
I think by modern standards, it's a red
If that were a Newcastle player on Salah? Is it/is it not a red?
Don’t come here with logicI don't like seeing all these reds, it spoils the contest, although great for bantz. I think the booking for the ball throwing, there are times when it should be given but I didn't think Trents was, I know rules are rules but just all seems a bit petty to me BUT there are times when it should be given, especially when players are using it for delaying tactics, Trents one was just more petulance and all that was required was a verbal warning of the new rules.

Anyone that thinks bringing down a fwd when you're last man and he's in on goal doesn't present a chance is off their trolley.

I don’t think either of these teams have looked impressive today.
