For me when the ball went up top the other night the forward line didn’t hold it up well enough. Therefore I can see why LR wants a big strong lad up there to hold it and bring others into play especially if we do bring a couple of wingers in. I like Oscar and always thought he played well off Tetteh however when on his own his weaknesses is not holding the ball up well enough. It was my first game back after holidays so first time seeing Delap, played decent, only young so don’t know if he will be consistent enough through out the season. Time will tell.

Rosenior has said repeatedly that he likes width in his teams. For me, this was the main reason Bristol were able to seemingly walk through the middle of the park. Traore and Twine were clearly under instruction to hold their positions out on the touchline, creating the apparent hole in the midfield. The other issue with the "wingers" as they were on Friday was the number of times the ball was played into their feet near the halfway line, with their back to goal and 2 opposition players in close proximity. In that position they're limited to playing it back to the defence or possibly square into midfield. Maybe it's because neither of them is the quickest and we need to build slower but I'd hope when we have genuine wingers in the side we'll look to play the ball in behind occasionally and give opposition fullbacks something to think about.

Yeah, to claim you want pace out wide and then leave Lokilo, our paciest winger, on the bench, is very strange.

Lokilo/Allahyar on one side and Philogene on the other gives us direct wingers with pace and power.

EDIT: Oh he was injured. Well, he didn't start him against Blackburn in order to squeeze Twine in.

Lokilo wasn’t on the bench, he’s injured.

Simon Jordan comments on Acun..."He's a proper, proper fella. The things he's done for that club and group of fans, his commitment to it. I was a wonderfully generous chairman but I pale into insignificance compared to this fella, he's a proper chairman.

Swansea City have got their man after twenty four hours of intense negotiations with Keinan Davis and his agent Stephen Fessey. Hull City manager Liam Rosenior is said to be fuming after Davis agreed to come to Swansea over Hull City. Swansea Newspaper..

There's no chance he's fuming. Disappointed maybe, but why they've added fuming and made it sound so ridiculous I've no idea.

I’m amazed they let Baz release the story last Sunday, without the signings in the bag

Scoring 2 per game, no team that scores over 90 in a season will be outside the top 6. Good game this, anyone else want a go?

Swansea lost Piroe who basically ditched them, therefore they had a wage going free and no doubt added something on top to attract Davis, who for me, won't be missed here. Too much like Oscar...

I know what you mean about Oscar but I thought he wasn't too bad considering he only had, what, 15 mins? He also had a shot on target, on another day it would have gone in and it'd have been a worldie.

He's a far better classic number 9 than Oscar. Oscar is a finisher. Davis is your typical hold up man

No he didn’t do anything wrong the other night, I just feel from the past that when he plays the lone striker and comes up against a big CB he struggles to hold on to it. Otherwise he’s a decent striker and if he stays then that’s good but like I say I think LR wants someone up top who is strong, doesn’t get pushed off the ball easy and most importantly brings others into play. Let’s see what happens this week and see if we have a back up plan if Davies as gone to Swansea.
