Didn't see any of the game but a quick look at the stats and it seems like we pretty much held our own. Would have took your hand off if offered a point before kick off.

Pritchard regularly creates moments of panic in the opposition defence ...

... sadly Neil sometimes causes more in our own.

Don't you think he had a decent game today @Smug? I thought he and Ekwah held their own against Coventry

Ancelloti won 2 champions leagues playing it at times as well. Mind you he had defenders like Maldini, Nesta and Cafu. I always thought the formation needed really bomb proof full backs that coule provide width and brilliant defensive qualities.

Decent effort today, fair point. They are a decent team and good at home, so a draw does me.

Obviously lacking a forward, but we also lack some breakout pace. It leads to us getting bogged down sometimes when we can't play out. Sometimes a chip over or ball into space causes hell on if there is some pace chasing it. Changes everything that.

Maldini, Nesta and Cafu, not a bad three to have as part of your back 4 :emoticon-0102-bigsm.

Unfortunately I think our defenders are slightly below their level, so maybe not a formation to try

Cant compare the 2, 1 is an attacking midfielder whose main role is to create n cause the defence problems. The other is a box to box midfielder/cdm who covers ground n wins tackles.

If pritchard was asked to play the same role as neil we would be in big big trouble

Had to go and lookup that AC Milan side.

    Dida
    Jankulovski
    Maldini
    Nesta
    Cafu
    Pirlo
    Ambrosini
    Gattuso
    Kaka
    Seedorf
    Insaghi/Ronaldo

What a side that is. You could probably play any formation you want and win.

Totally agree he was poor last season when he started games but his impact coming off the bench is sensational. Need to keep him

It's always a difficult call for me tbh.

Does he graft, tackle and intercept ... yes.

Does he thrill, shoot and play killer passes ... not really.

Does he lose the ball in dangerous positions and try turns when he shouldn't ... sadly almost every game.

He should be aiming to progress now but I'm not seeing it. He should be aiming to be our captain but doesn't have the presence. He should be imposing himself on games but rarely does ...

... would he be a player we'd be desperate to sign if he was at Rotherham, don't think so.

I’d have taken a draw all day before kick off and first clean sheet of season.

Break now to sort a striker out, my glass is brimming.

That was the nature of the game, happened on both sides from various players.
