I’m not sure that the midfield as Grimes, Fulton and Patino is working.

Need a more creative player instead of either Grimes or Fulton.

 

He needs to get a win soon - 2 points out of 12 is a poor start.

After 4 games last season we had 4 points.

From the same 4 corresponding games last season we won 4 points.

 

I don't think any other manager would be doing much better right now. I still think he's as good as we can expect with these owners. I think we're moving in the right direction, give him a fair crack at it at least.

Most importantly, we all need to lower our expectations

A win next week would give us 5pts from 5 - that would be what I expected for August

 

We should have come away from both our away games with a point. I don't think we deserved to win our home games so we could/should be on 4 points with better defending.

 

OK, but 4 points from 4 games, whilst better than the 2 we have actually got, is still very poor - especially considering the excellent transfer window we've apparently had.

 

I am not bothered by the points so much as the poor defending still haunts us at the back, the winner they had was so poor from us defensively, we are still easy to score against, what I would give to have Sousa sort our **** defense out, very frustrating, let's hope this doesn't get into a habit.......

I agree that 4pts from 4 would still be poor - hell, it’s relegation form - Duff probably needs some time to get to know the players, the new players settling in, and to find the right shape, balance and formation.

We were asked by Russ to trust the process and he had a free pass for a considerably longer period than 4 games.

The record under Russ for the first 4 games of each season he was here was 4 points from 4

 

Why are we comparing Duff to RM though - how does he compare to actual successful managers we've had - Brendan for example ?

 

I would have said it was pretty good (by the yanks standards) until Piroe went. Like I've said before, unless we recruit an actual miracle worker (who'd be poached soon after anyway), then we can't expect to be doing much better. I'd still give him time though.
