Are you suggesting they gave him the run's out to check?

...but he's the only one who understands the process. He's using the experience gained at Derby to turn this team into a deadly attacking force. You'll see the results in a few years time, the problem is some of us might not be around to witness it.

I actually think Traore has started this season very poorly, can’t remember him doing anything, definitely drop him for Philogene.

Is there something more to it...? just asking, not scaremongering ... Tetteh definitely wasn't at it early on, Christie much the same and I agree about Traore.

That's definitely it. Saw Smith jump off the bench and run down the tunnel during the first half so there's obviously an issue. Explains why Christie didn't overexert himself when running for fear of doing a Lineker. Maybe that's why it felt like walking pace for most of the evening too. It's the only rational explanation.

    Since when was a free-kick a corner?

The position the free kick was in was a dead ball cross similar to a corner. Point stands Twine is far better than Seri at dead balls

Possibly, but I was talking about corners, and his corners have been gash. The free-kick was from nowhere near the same position as a corner. It was wide-ish, but at least 20 yards from the goal line. It was a very good free kick. I hope his corners improve to be of a similar standard.

Macca was exceptional last season - look how our defensive record improved when he came into the team, and no coincidence. He's not started this season as well, but I sense a head of steam building up for him to be a new fall guy (we always need one , don't we.) I think basically we are well served with our 3 centre backs and its what's in front of them that's the problem defensively. They aren't perfect, but pretty good for this level. Specifically, Macca reads the game really well - look at how many times when a ball is knocked into our area, he is in the right place to block or clear. I also think he's a more rugged centre back than Greaves, but Greaves is better going forward. Macca is a bit slow, but then Greaves ain't that quick either.

I’m still unsure about him. I like his passion and ambition but his tactical naivety leaves a lot to be desired. It’s fine for him to have a philosophy of possession-based football and I like that style of football personally and always encourage the team at games when they play out from the back and beat the press but it’s things like thinking that we don’t need a #6 and playing three #10s and putting square pegs in round holes that makes me question his judgement. It’s like he’s a football hipster who just swallowed a manual on coaching.

What a fantastic first time finish by Tufan from a difficult bobbling ball coming in at pace.

Really good to see Connolly getting the run in and someone actually finding him with the pass. Feels like forever since we’ve have a forward who could find those gaps to get between and behind the defenders. No matter the players or the manager we’ve always seemed to play in front of the enemy defence all the time.

Connolly seems to find space naturally. Good to see

And there's a problem. Our CBs are relatively slow (in terms of pace and playing out). Their lack of pace means they can't push as high up the pitch as they could for this style of football, accentuated further by having no super fast full back either. We have too many shortcomings ATM to seriously challenge. But let's see what this week brings.

He tried to dink it but it came off his toe a bit flat.

Hope he's not out for the next 10 games.

If he toe poked it near post think he might've bagged. Tried to open up his body and seemed to fail. Can't blame the lad too much

Nah, he's bagged his quota so far.

Also thought Oscar looked sharp. That first time angled one from the edge of the box probably would have notched if it was a bit closer, but they defended their box really well. Pearson all ways defends his ' box' otherwise it might mess up his clean sheets.

As we'd expect from a Pearson side.

    Shoulda won it. Point nontheless.

    Move on.

The Traore thing I think must be what Rosenior was talking about in his post match interview where he said we got sloppy after going ahead and started taking too many risks on the ball. Lazy attempt at squeezing a ball through a gap that wasn't there and it allowed them to break on us, which happened too often. There was too much chaos in the game after our initial spell of control.

That is what I thought he was referring too also, Traore gave away the ball too often, played too many chancy passes which got cut out.

Think Traore may be the one that makes way when Philogene comes in. Was really sloppy
