Overall, a lot of positives, and a great response to a feeble showing against Brum. Well done boys!

Yep well deserved point, could have gone either way.. I have seen glimpses of improvement but we do need to be more clinical in the final third and in front of goal..
Small signs of the players gelling.. let’s hope we continue to improve with our passing..
Wells, Max and knight stood out for me tonight..
Well done Nige and the team

Played very well much better than the Brum game. However with a bjg strong goal scoring No9 on the pitch we would have won that game.
Wasted far to many chances. Cannot expect to win games need to start scoring more goals during games.
SL you need to give NP the funds if it means selling a player to bring one in so be it.

last thing I remember was watching athletics @ 1911 hours after waking up sat at computer at 2138 hours ...
just checked the stats and that is more like it ...............

Home Team Hull v Away Team Bristol City
    Possession
    Home61%
    Away39%
    Shots
    Home13
    Away19
    Shots on Target
    Home9
    Away6
    Corners
    Home4
    Away5
    Fouls
    Home 5
    Away 13

with 2 bookings against 1 for them, we had 1 shot for every 1.84 mins of possession! [ 1.4 mins if 19 +6 is how beeb do it !!]

    KEEP it up BCFC

Nothing to do with the lack of a big number 9, we missed 3 or 4 good chances, take them and we win, no matter what level you play at you have to take your chances.

Although they had very good chances too, Max had a good game keeping them out ..

They did, but on balance I’d say we edged it . Willian’s missed a sitter, think it was sykes similar and a clearance off the line, along with Nakhi disallowed, which on play back looked just onside , then there were 1or two pin ball moments in their area, like you said they had a couple as well but not as many as us. I think Conway’s goal scoring ability would have won it for us, or a bit more composure from Williams/Sykes.

Thought Knight had a good game, couple of mistakes, but I thought he’s starting to look good. He would have complimented Scott nicely , ah well, it wasn’t to be.

I think Bell’s having a struggle, a few times his inexperience showed, not enough composure imo.. still learning..
Thought Wells worked his socks off, deserved his goal and wrongly denied his 2nd. On reflection we were poor in the first half and Hull could have been out of sight..
2nd half we were much better and in the end could have won it.
I think our team are slowly starting to settle. A decent performance in front of our own fans at home would be a massive boost..

His pace, pressing ability and eye for a goal means he edges it over Mahmeti in Nige’s eyes, I agree with you though the game seemed to pass him by a bit tonight. Maybe a good time to rest him and give Anis a go, I’d also put Naismith in for Williams now Dickie is back. I’ve a feeling Naismith may come on as sub next game though as tonight his first start since his injury.

We need to create more chances per game and then be more clinical in finishing them off. There were many positives tonight but I still think we are missing some real class type players but maybe NP can get more out of what he has at hand for any given match.

I’d also have been happy with a point before the game
Nige says we should have won it which would have been even better
Converting draws into wins and taking our chances still seems to be a major failing of ours
