Going back to my comments about Hull finding space to score at will - well guess what, they scored exactly as per instructions with Turfan the Turk.
Dear oh dear, very easily undone there. Lost the ball on the halfway line and a big gap in the middle allowed space for the strike. We had been doing ok before that..
Wouldn't you think that when preparing for a team that scores goals when given space that the boss would set up to close all the space across the pitch? I'm afraid to report we are giving them more space than they need and they have had more shots on goal so far than Bristol City have managed all season.
Joe Williams had an open goal and missed, yet another chance wasted and we will possibly pay the price of poor play.
We have done ok in the first half, yes Hull have had a few shots, mostly on target, but hey have been from distance and not troubling Max. Although they should have scored right at the end of the half, god knows how that didn’t go in. We can’t finish a meal at the moment, even though we have had the better goal scoring chances. Much like the 2 bad misses against Brum from Zak and Nakhi, 2 equally bad misses so far are costing us. It really should be 2-2 at HT
Last minute goal by Wells ruled out by offside - and it was a good decision (just our luck). Overall our age old deficiencies are haunting us as we can't score, we have few shots on goals (but not today), poor crosses, easily losing ball in one on one and just general inefficiency lead me to have issues with just about everything we try to do. In all honesty I saw 3 goals that should have been easily scored today but we missed them all. Some good periods of play but when it produces nothing it is about as useful as a hat rack to a moose.
Off side, no question, this nonsense of not putting the flag up straight away is crap. Just stick the flag up, would’ve saved all that nonsense at the end.
