As pointed out before... We walked away from Bellingham deal before most of our midfield walked away from Liverpool. Had we known we were losing so many players, I suspect we may have tried harder for Jude.
You done nothing mate Just discussed stuff with you before lol First name that popped into my head Z was second So not always about Zanjihno
Klopp and Ljinders are a huge problem at the moment. I'm not FSG's biggest fans but Klopp needs to take responsibility as he is now the de factor Director of the club. Our recruitment policy / strategy is scattergun to say the least, and we don't have anyone who can actually negotiate deals. Pathetic from everyone at the club.
I wouldn't describe it as scattergun - that's a term more fitting to Chelsea than us. We don't seem to be operating as efficiently as we once were, but as has been mentioned often enough, we as fans know very little about what is happening behind the scenes.
Wouldn't that mean signing lots of random players (like Chelsea but cheaper)...? We're the exact opposite of that. More like a pea shooter approach
It's game week 3 and this squad is still under strength in areas that should have been addressed by now. I'm sure a lot is happening behind the scenes but on the pitch, we're nowhere near where we need to be.
Would be a very meh signing. Can’t say seen enough of him but seems like a steady player but nothing special. A bit of an all rounder though and home grown
BUT - I was listening to 5 Live before and one of the pundits insisted Liverpool have had a completely disastrous window. Er, we did get our two main targets within budget, and were supposedly looking for a LCB (not sure if we persuing Lavia at that point). Hendo and Fab wanted to go, and for that money we had no choice. Since THEN it's been a disaster: if we had £111m to be chucked at Caiecedo (seriously, no sour grapes, but I saw a £50m player at best tonight against Luton - Enzo has stardust, yes, but even he's £30m over-priced), we had £120m plus wages to throw at Bellingham, who does belong in that bracket. Okay, we may well have been snubbed as it's Madrid - but who would rather be snubbed by?
Most windows would seem reasonable if we brought in two good quality additions - perhaps three if Endo turns out ok - but it's because of so many leaving it seems bad. However, as we've discussed before, two of them were imaginary and two of the others came out of the blue. We still need additions in key areas - Konaté's fragility is of concern, and there's a gaping hole at RB. It's far from satisfactory, but calling it completely disastrous is a bit over-emotional.
Don’t just think it’s Konate who is fragile Matip Gomez Are both in that category for me If we could just sync a rota we might just get through the season Endo will end up in the back line before season end
