Any long standing injury issues would get picked up in the medical wouldn't they?

For me it's a no brainer, decent pedigree, position we need cover for, unlikely to play every game but very useful to cover injuries or to come off the bench and shore things up.

Might even suprise us and force his way into the starting 11 and stay injury free, after all we kept kirchoff fit

No not aimed at anyone in particular, but struggle to see how this could be upsetting or worrying? People have moaned for wks on end that we are too young or don’t have the experience now the clubs trying to sort it “allegedly” and people are already moaning he’s been injured before so will be ****e etc it’s ****ing boring to say the least.

I understand people are different, but for me I follow Sunderland because I enjoy too, I want and hope the team do well.

seems lots of our fans do it as a ****ing job and a hassle! Totally don’t get it personally.

Footballers should have to sign a code of conduct when signing for a club, if the likes of Harry Kane and hendo (spit) can go through a career without getting into these types of troubles surely the rest can.

If you break the conduct it anuls your contract

I think it’s a given that shouldn’t rape people mate, I don’t think you need to be told your contract will be terminated that’s the least of your worries :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Yeah but why isn’t his contract terminated straight away ?

code of conduct should mean the instant you put yourself in that position (shagging around, getting pissed till all hour, kicking animals). Then we won’t have to wait years for court cases with these people on our books.

Think the club would be on the hook for wrongful termination if it came back not guilty

Because he is innocent until proven guilty in the eyes of the law. If we sacked him and he was later found "not guilty" by a court he could sue us for unfair dismissal.

See then you look at his other conduct, has he had repeated transgressions and do him for that instead

My point is that if he's currently innocent we should be able to play him or loan him out ...

... at the moment we're treating him as a pariah but paying for the privilege.

I actually agree with others about being innocent until proven guilty mate I just think with the way they handled the Johnson thing they can’t afford to **** up again and it’s not worth the hassle imo. I think they’ll terminate his contract no matter the outcome but whether they can do it now or not without paying compo is another question.

I’m sure David Goodwillie was never proven guilty but whichever club he’s joined have ended up with fan backlash and released him pretty much straight away. Happened with Ched Evans a few times too.

There has to be more than just an accusation for the police to be taking it to court surely? They have to have a case.

Hes been charged with sexual assault and rape, the best thing for him is to keep his head down and let the justice system do its job.

No club in the world and probably most people facing businesses wouldnt keep someone in the public eye with those charges against him.

Its not like he's been charged with nicking sweets from Asda

How's about we get the thread back onto transfer news rather than discuss a players off the field issues?

To loan him out it means a club needs to be willing to take him on loan. I can't see too many clubs lining up to take someone in his position onboard which is completely understandable given that he is nowhere near good enough to justify the absolute PR ****show that would be
