On a serious note, It was Chanrai who said that all creditors under £2500 would be paid in full - because Chanrai has made that commitment, it is up to him to pay it - NOT Portsmouth Football Club. PFC however will now pay the other creditors 20p in every £1 for the rest of the CVA term which has rightly been pointed out, is due to start in April.
Whilst I do agree completely we should be looking at our present and future, we can never forget that it's those dark days that lead to these bright days. Even down in L1, the days were still bright. Without them, we could still be someon like Coventry, who haven't moved from the bottom etheleons of the Championship for years now. Then of course there's the fact that if we do go on and really achieve something in the future (e.g. win the FA Cup or qualify for the Championship League - or even better), then it will be even more sweeter for us having had to go through those bad times first (fans of the big boys have never lived. They think being out of the title race, or losing three games on the bounce, is the end of the world. I not convinced that the majority of them truely appreciate how lucky they are - I guess that's one reason why I wouldn't mind Man City winning the Premiership, they've been all the way down to L1 themselves not too long ago).

I think that no club can go into administration twice within a certain date so if they are forced into administration again they are forced out of business

Agree - sometimes things have to get worse before they get better. Then when things do get better, they are appreciated more. Suppose we do reach the promised land next season (and I think we will !) - I don`t think I`ll enjoy it any more than last season in league 1.
Which is why I'd like to see the likes of Arsenal have a season or two in a lower league. 1] because they've never been there, and 2] because they never actually had to win anything to get where they are. They were invited. It would also be great for English football in general, if the likes of [once again] Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and ManU spent a few seasons out of the Premier League, just to give others a chance to get hold of some silverware and cash. Also, it would spread the best players about a bit more, instead of there being a concentration of them amongst those four clubs. I've no doubt that after one season out of the top flight, two or three of them would be back in there, but the dominance will have been broken, and maybe significantly so. Of course, it'll never happen.
It may happen one day however we should not forget we celbrated our longevity in the top flight. We were there for a similar time to most of the top clubs. Spurs, Liverpool, Man Utd were all in the second tier in the same decade as we were prior to our top flight run. Chelsea much more recently. Arsenal out of all the top clubs are actually the ones I wish well. They are living within their means and that should prove a good decision for them in the next decade or so while the others spend spend spend right up to the moment they can no longer do so. Therefore I can see a time in a 4-5 years where the others struggle to adapt to living within their means while Arsenal are already there and at that same time Arsenal's youngsters will have gained the experience etc. I thoroughly expect UEFA to take these fake stadium sponsorship deals as non income especially if they are linked to someone who already has an interest in the club itself so Chelsea and Man City would not be able to magically use those imaginery funds as income thus having to concentrate on reducing wage bills, reducing transfers and reducing sacked manager payouts Arsenal and Saints to dominate the league in a few years time
SecondStain, Once upon a time...relagation was possible for anyone in the top division. It was known then as 'Division One' - how quaint. Even the great Manchester Utd succumbed back in 1973 in those pre-sky days. Nowadays however, there is practically no chance of this happening. The top ten clubs just have too much money to fail on the pitch. It is a real shame-and I do agree with your point. but hey,in this brave new world where no one wants a loser, we've now effectively got 3 Division One's !!
What do you feel Portsmouth deserve then out of curiosity? I agree. TheSecondStain, fans from some clubs seem to think they're automatically entitled to either win the league or qualify for the Champions League places. If their club was to get relegated, then they might see that no-one should be automatically entitled to anything and would actually appreciate what they have. It's like the anti-Wenger Arsenal fans who think it's a disgrace that Arsenal are just aiming for the Champions League place rather than winnin the league. I mean, come on, you're not likely to go down, you'll win more of your games than you'll lose, you play decent football, your teams in a financially stable position and you're Champions League regulars, appreciate what you have (which is a lot more than most clubs have)!!!! It's not all about winning the league/qualifying for the Champions League (depending on which team you're talking about).
...and another thing!!! Would you really want to be an Arsenal fan? Just think about it. You're expectations are to win EVERY game-there's not much to aspire to if you're already part of the big six- maybe the Champions League when it rolls around but seriously-being a fan of a provincial club that has it's up's and down's (and let's face it, I should know) aspiration is a wonderful thing. I'm sure many of you deckchairs enjoyed much of your League One adventures and the promise of something better in the future as your fortunes took a turn for the better. Ever wondered why Highbury and now The Emirates are called 'The Library' Stamford Bridge,Old Trafford and even Anfield are not much better. It's because we've got something they haven't got.
You tell em FFD spot on. I suppose there is a certain excitement in when you win every week. It must get boring though surely. Being able to take for granted you are going to win. Crying in your beer when you don't!! Being able to dominate the buying of the very best players available is not in my book healthy. There should be a better way of evening things out so that all can compete with the best.......
Despite being a Saint I don't want to see Pompey get a battering this way. I'm perfectly happy to watch them lose on the football pitch - especially on December 18th - but I don't want to see them lose in the board room, and have to sit through the misery of an administration process. Does any true Saints fan really want to see our rivals eliminated altogether? Wouldn't it better to consistently prove our prowess on the turf instead? And, besides, if Pompey did go the way of the dinosaurs, we'd lose half our song-sheet! As for points penalties, they only penalise fans and players, who are not the real villains of the piece. They've lost enough having to sell their best players to meet their costs and watching their team dip in form and morale. If someone is guilty of embezzlement or financial misconduct, go after them in the courtroom, not on the football pitch.
