We're actively trying to move out seven or eight of those players, some have zero chance of playing a first team game this season and this isn't going to be the squad by the end of the window.
We’ve tried to loan out Longman. Sinik who knows and the club’s apparently rejected bids for Allahyar. Are we actively trying to get rid of Óscar? Docherty probably if he wasn’t injured. Who are the others, not including the younger players who don’t count towards the 25-man squad and who wouldn’t be playing anyway?
The likes of Fleming, Jacob and Lo-Tutala are going to be considered for the first team, Robson is the U21 keeper, he's not going to be playing any first team games either. Longman is the most likely to get another gig this week and we're obviously going to keep trying to ship out Sinik and Allahyar, Doc won't play and will be moved out in Jan, Oscar goes if Davis comes in and Simmons and Covil could potentially be loaned out as well. I'm expecting several outgoings over the coming week.
Lo-Tutala, Robson, Simons and Covil don’t go toward the 25-man squad anyway. Jacob and Fleming could go out on loan along with Longman, though I think Jacob is injured.
Why the fixation on their administrative classification? They're players, they add to the competition for places and they're likely going out - if not on loan then permanently.
L Oh he’ll tease them, And unease them, Terrify and squeeze them, He’s ferocious, And he knows just what it takes to start a goal rush. All the fans think he’s a prize, He’s got Keinan Davis eyes.
My point was merely that the actual list of first team players isn't as long as the list you've posted and it's almost certainly about to get shorter.
If we got rid of 10 of the 'so called first team, that count' and replaced them with 10 that are as good if not better, 'that don't need to be registered'. Is it still a bloated squad or a very small squad?
It's basically 2 seniors for each position and some youngsters as cover. If that's 'bloated' then somebody needs to be looking around at some other clubs in the league.
3 strikers plus tufan for 2 striker berths 7 realistic options for the 4 defensive shirts (Jacob and Fleming won't play) 1 (plus 1 incoming) for the GK position as Robson and Lo Tut won't realistically play. 3 realistic options (plus 1 incoming) for the 2 deep lying mids as Doc won't play and Woods has gone. Traore, Twine, Lokilo, Ali, Sinik (plus Philogene - though I'd expect one to leave when he signs) covering the wide/attacking midfield berths is 6 (though realistically 5 by the end of the window) for at least 2, potentially 3 starting berths. I'd expect Longman, Sinik or Ali, Fleming, lo tutala, possibly also Simons to go out Who have I missed?
I seem to recall a few years ago, that loans were allowed outside the transfer window, maybe longer, it might have been on league, is that still the case? Or did I mistake something else?
Once the window shuts we can't loan to another EFL club but have loaned out to the conference prior to now. Think international loans need to be in the window.
