Him and his green wood should bugger off to Saudi Arabia. Let him deal with their legal system in the future.
They sort of did a couple of years back when they lost 5-0 at home to Liverpool, with goals by Keita, Jota, and a hattrick by Salah. And all their fans went home at half time. We don't go on about it though.
So the **** that is Mike Dean admits he refused to send Cucurella’s hair pull to referee Anthony Taylor for a VAR Check. "It's one of them where if I had my time again, what would I do? I'd send Anthony [Taylor] to the screen. I think I knew if I did send him to the screen…he's cautioned both managers, he's had a hell of a game, it's been such a tough game end to end. "I said to Anthony afterwards: 'I just didn't want to send you to the screen after what has gone on in the game'. I didn't want to send him up because he is a mate as well as a referee and I think I didn't want to send him up because I didn't want any more grief than he already had." https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66612570 As we’re talking of Chelsea. I was doing a X-Ray machine repair up at HMP Grampian (Peterhead) today and this rather masculine tatooed woman comes in wearing the Chelsea shirt. The badge looks even worse in real life than it does on TV.
in effect match fixing and he should be charged for it in some manner. as a retired person he should perhaps be banned from attending games. this only strengthens the case form getting shut of refs on var and putting reviews in the hands on managers.
Mike Dean admits making "pathetic" Chelsea VAR mistake to protect friend Anthony Taylor Former Premier League referee Mike Dean has admitted he got a vital decision wrong during last season's London derby between Chelsea and Tottenham and knew he would be stood down Mike Dean admits making "pathetic" Chelsea VAR mistake to protect friend Anthony Taylor - Mirror Online
Taylor and dean guity of match fixing. A player gets a yellow and is in massive trouble about spot betting (rightly) and could face 18months or 2 years ban (rightly) yet these absolutely clowns admit tampering materially with the outcome of games.
It's awful. When a ref openly admits to having protected his mate rather manage the game properly (and he seems to think that this is understandable in some way) in the past - how can we not think that such things are going on all the time when we observe terrible decisions made now? That disgraceful incident in the Man U - Wolves game comes to mind because it's recent, but there are so many. Basically Dean has warned us not to expect professionalism from the officials if it conflicts with their personal prejudices. This needs serious investigation.
nothing but a complete rule change can bring confidence back. Managers must have recourse to review and the ref must stand there and review the incident and cite the rule clearly he felt was or was not "sufficiently" breached I firmly am of the opinion refs should blow the whistle for any pen shout or red card and draw a box, go look for themselves and come up with some ruling. For a pen shout there can be only 3 real things a) book attacker for simulation b) contact did occur but didn't meet some threshold or was within the act of getting ball first c) Penalty for x or y reason Same for a red card shout. Bring in your clear protocol of Force, danger via studs etc, mitigating issues just as stooping down or what have you. outline the decision clearly It won't fix everything for example: Bournemouth might well appeal that penalty award last weekend. Call for the review and then the ref must go look and then clearly state to the world why szoboszlai's exaggerated flop (and it was) doesn't matter as the leg was dangled. you can be assured the following week the same pen wouldn't be given and the ref would then state the same rule and claim szoboszlai fell over a leg that was "just there" that's the matter of opinion part. But if there's a very clear "missed" incident a ref should not have any issue declaring that in a busy penalty area. thats just ego. If find is absolutely crazy they cannot just cut out the need for a twat in a var box miles away and make the ref on the spot actually do his ****ing job.
I didn't fully understand his reasoning behind his non decision. How does ignoring an error that everyone else can see save him from grief anyway?
takes some flak? it doesn't do anything at all. I think he mentioned he would have got away with it if they didn't score off the corner or something so at the time he was purely and simply cheating to benefit his mate
Such a weird thing to do. Maybe it’s because he wasn’t getting the attention he got during refereeing so wants to put something controversial out there to get people talking about him. Does make his section on sky sports providing expert opinion during the games rather pointless. He was also the only person to back up the ref in the Bournemouth game who sent off Mac.
I've seen people put out the view that he said it to muddy the waters regarding VAR, because the refa don't like it and want it to be scrapped.
Might be something in that. Stuff like this usually comes out in biographies years later. To do it now suggests there is an ulterior motive.
