This week finishing better than it started, but unsure what Perkins will learn at Oxford. Yes I know Bate was there last season but under a different manager. Yes Bate turned out to be the best midfielder in L1 but thats because he should have been loaned into the championship. But heyho lets see what happens Mason Greenwood and Man Utd have shown how stupid player contracts are. I have said in the past that players like Giggs, Mendy, Evans and Greenwood should not be named as they invariably get found not guilty and have their careers ruined. However in Greenwoods case he has been stopped from playing and has had all charges dropped due to new evidence and the CPS dropped the charges because they looked at the evidence and knew he was innocent of the charges. It’s been women’s groups and women footballers who have spoken out about Greenwood. Karen Carney, the usual BBC political wing etc. in Mendy’s case these women never uttered a word even though the player had admitted screwing a bunch of women, he just said they wanted it. Even the rape lobby kept quiet simply because it was obvious from day one that these women were after cash, gifts, publicity and have done it before with other players. Mendy should never have been on trial and the CPS should have dropped the charges. Greenwood however did post a video and when you look into it you find out his now fiancé’ loves rough sex and gets off on it. There are other videos of her begging other men and groups of men to hurt her and this is some of the new evidence that forced the prosecution to collapse. Mendy is back playing but over in France and obviously not on the same level of salary as he had at City, but Greenwood is now been vilified by everyone and will probably need to move abroad. His fiancé is also pregnant and he admits the video shows him in a bad light but he’s young and stupid. He was a £100m valued player with the world at his feet and he has been paid throughout since Jan 2022 and indeed he still has 2 years to run on his contract. In the real world guilty or not guilty means suspension followed by the sack for bringing the company into disrepute, but not in football. So slowly does it and we are slow enough to actually stall. We have an owner who has spoken big but the wait has been a nightmare for many of us and the term Yank Lampard 2 has been wheeled out again. However with a week to go in this window momentum and imminence kicked in. Yes we have moved on 15 players and maybe more to go yet, but the players brought in now seem to be all gems. I believe Darlow chose Leeds over Bournemouth because he was promised to be the starter, so let’s see what happens this week with Meslier. Sam Byram so far seems to be a no brainer, Ampadu is almost as good as Adams, Rodon is a great loan player and then we did Piroe the proper striker we needed a couple of years ago so we can all now forget the Bamford issue and on top of that we have agreed a fee with Leverkusen for Amiri a German international. If Gnonto and Sinisterra are indeed staying we will have the most potent attack in the championship and should start to pick up wins and claw back the deficit we have conceded at the start of this season due to the chaos. I have been a massive critic up to now but the business done I like a lot now especially if Amiri happens. I also believe we will see a new LB and maybe more yet. We have brought in £27m in transfer fees plus maybe £3m in loan fees and so far we will have spent £25m if the Amari deal happens. I actually prefer the players brought in to the ones who bailed out.
If Paintsil comes off and Ameri we will have spent £35m with only £30m brought in, so guessing we will be selling either Sinsterra or a couple of kids?

Where would we be if we were not chasing another winger this player is a right winger who can play central. Sinisterra is a left winger who can play both flanks but best on the left, Summerville is a right winger in the main so if we do get Paintsil we will have Dan James, Summerville, Gnonto, Sinisterra and Paintsil which could mean Summerville or Sini being sold?
Just been watching his stuff on YouTube from last season and most of it was from right wing, goals and assists? Amiri is in Saturdays Leverkusen squad even though manager Xavi Alonso says he is probably leaving. Leverkusen have accepted the Leeds bid so Amiri needs to pee or get off the pot
So the Kruat Amari has knocked Leeds back because he doesn’t want tier 2 football. Wonder how many more have knocked us back and the way most of the squad couldn’t wait to get out won’t have helped
Evening all. Good to see the mood has lifted a bit on here and now we just need a positive result tomorrow. Might be pushing it to hope for a win but as we seemed fairly tight at the back last week maybe we can nick a 1-0.
As I said previously. I'm not sure the German is the droid we are looking for at 10. He might have been used in the Archie Gray role. I'd much prefer Lewis O'Brien than an unknown quantity from Germany. Fingers crossed we eventually get O'Brien in.
Farke obviously knows the German market so I'm happy to trust his judgement and whilst we didn't get the player this time there will be others that he knows of.
