For the first time in a while, I really haven’t missed the F1 over summer break.

Roll on whenever there is some closer racing at the front.

Keep an eye on Aston this weekend- floor revisions and some exit cannon changes as they look to get back on the podium, so this will tell us if they’ve got any of their direction back.

Stroll reported to have some kind of infection and will miss Thursdays mediia conference, but will be fit for the rest of the weekend. I do really want to see what Drugovic could do in a race weekend. I wonder how good he is?

looks like we will have some car upgrades up and down the grid.

    Aston have a new floor.

Red bull have new beam wing

Mclaren new beam and rear wing

Haas has new nose and front wing

ferrari? well Ferrari had a nice time on holiday, ate good food, drank nice wine, made love to beautiful women.

Interesting little bit of on track action. Max passed Riccy on the start finish straight on his hot lap then immediately pulls out of his way and slowed down to allow Riccy his hot lap!
I wonder if that is because max wants Riccy in the sister red bull next year?
I think helmut has always said that drivers aren't signed to either team so they can switch them without any contract issues!

P1 - nice performance for williams, forced verstappen's ego to kick in.

Hulkenburg has planked it. front nose might be damaged so session is still going on.

Aston looks to have stepped up a bit which they needed to do as they were flagging.

If we could get the dutch to all go home and take Verstappen with them and the first placed trophy an actual race between the rest might even break out.

Good to see Lando showing McLaren strong on a high DF set up.

Max has another tenth or two up his sleeve and race pace will likely be on another level but nice to see one team making some progress at least

Really unfortunate for Ricciardo. Just when things were starting to look up for him.

    Big opportunity for Lawson now

Love it! They have the real world prioritised.
My cousin has a few Ferrari's and drove one down to Venice. On the way back it seems he didn't have the right paperwork when stopped at the Italian border. However the fact he was driving a Ferrari was considered good enough to let him go on his way. Love the passion.

If you can afford the maintenance on a Ferrari, you may as well buy more than 1.

He has 5 Ferrari's to be exact, mostly classics. He has 10 classic cars in a warehouse where they are looked after. I won't tell you whole story but he is self made, nothing inherited.

Does he have a 250LM? Weirdly, despite not being much of a Ferrari fan, it's my all time favourite car.

I have asked, will let you know when he responds.
Did you know Ferrari is derived from the name Ferraro meaning Blacksmith in English, from which the surname Smith is derived.
So really the question is "does he own a Smith?". So romantic<cheers>

C'mon, I'm old and love F1, of course I know it's a Smith. But on car names and totally unrelated, I always thought TVR stood for Thames Valley Racing, but it actually stands for TreVoR.

    Sadly, no he doesn't own a 250LM.
Trevor, brilliant! I now need to pull the leg of a friend who has a TVR with an F1 engine under the bonnet.
