One of the best strikers the league has ever seen, Rooney, had just 2. Ballon d'or winner Michael Owen in his 7 full seasons in the PL? None.
But it’s not just fans who call for it. Pundits trot it out as a regular sound bite. Although I think it is being revised to 15-20 goal a season man
Seems like the Lavia deal with Liverpool scrooging about. They just don’t rate Adams more than the deal they offered, fair enough.
Beto was who I wanted to sign last year. Very good “numbers” for all round play and he is a very big, very strong boi. Didn’t score a ton of goals in the end last season. More than Che though.
If it’s not Everton just have to wait and see if anyone else comes in for him. Would still say he is more likely to leave than stay tbh
I don’t think that there’s that much clamour for him is there? Everton are terrible with money, **** and desperate for a forward as they realise DCL is a glass cannon and even THEY didn’t think he was worth £15m!
Everton are probably not overly keen on Adams due to his PL scoring record as a lone striker. But they likely assumed he would be very cheap due to his contravt situation and the fact we got relegated. They were, hopefully, wrong.
Bournemouth and Wolves both linked with him earlier in the summer, Bournemouth apparently had a bid rejected. Time will tell if they come back in for him if Solanke leaves.
But yeah much like if I were West Ham and had 35-40m to spend on a striker the first thought shouldn’t be “Dominic Solanke” if the deal goes through and Bournemouth then have 35-40m to sign a replacement the first thought shouldn’t be “Che Adams”
True. We’ve heard earlier in the summer about Moyes’ obsession with “Prem proven” players with the JWP saga. Maybe Solanke is the best option. They got burnt last summer with Scamacca so maybe they’d rather overpay for a known average player rather than gamble on getting someone better from abroad
My belief (and concern) is that Che asking price will be met by one of the clubs already mentioned as a last minute panic to fill a need. The question will then be what have we got up our sleeves if anything and would we accept under those circumstances. And if not, would Che be happy? Piroe isn't the only other option in the world to step in and £15m for Che with his contract is very good business. Just not if its the difference between promotion and not.
