Oh well. Been out on the lash with a couple of old school mates (ie 50 plus years) so well indifferent.
On the athletics … great race by Josh Kerr to take World Gold for the 1500metres. Got the race perfectly right Ingebrigtsen must hate racing the Brits at the Worlds.
Have you watched anything of Scottish league footy? Fun is probably the last word I would have used to describe it. My dad is an Airdrie/Celtic fan so have watched any games they have been on(Alba and BBC Scotland) and its shocking. Yes watching QPR is poor, but we still play at a lot better standard, even when we are ****(Celtic and Rangers being the exceptions)
I have plenty of fun going to games up here. Yeah, the quality ain't great (Championship.is probably National League level) but the players give their all, it's blood and thunder, solid tackles that would make you wince, **** refereeing, **** grounds, **** food but quality banter on the terraces. Apart from the big two, no-one expects to win every week ao victories are wildly celebrated, as are defeats of either of the Old Firm by everyone. To say it isn't fun just isn't fair
Yes I have, though not recently live. In the last year I’ve also seen French league two football, German third tier/regional football and an Estonian second division game. All pretty poor standard (the French one was best) but great fun. I wouldn’t bother watching any on the telly though.
You should have a look at the **** that's served up as the a league Even Scottish teams would be made to look good
World Championship Athletics. This has been a good watch. However, my enjoyment of the high jump has been tarnished by being informed that, if they were allowed to take off using two feet instead of just one, a five foot five gymnast would out jump all these lanky floppers.
Just can't get with Athletics....whilst I admire their dedication to their sport and the work that they put in to maintain their standards at highest levels, I'm more of a team sports man. The Olympics and Commonwealth Games bore me rigid!
Hearts doing a better job than their city neighbours Hibs, holding PAOK to a 1-1 draw at the moment. Talisman Lawrance Shankland on the scoresheet once again....rumours floating that he may be off to Saudi Arabia on a mega money deal...very infuriating...when he played for Morton six years ago I flagged him to my pal who works as part of the QPR youth scouting team and he passed him up to the senior team guys....would've cost us about £50k....he went on to score 50 goals in 61 games for Ayr, 32 goals in 59 games for Dundee United and 25 goals in 32 games for Hearts, earning Scotland call-ups too.....he would've fitted our profile brilliantly don't know if Les ever looked at him, but a missed opportunity IMO
**** bastards ****ed it up. Chelsea v Luton tonight has potential for a lot of fun if Luton can see out the first 20 minutes.
Maybe they were worried going further north than Wycombe? … and maybe that’s why they brought on GA to fit in with the ‘scouts’ ( scouts my arse).
Sterling back to his best tonight, and Jackson scored and never stops running. Comfortable win for the scum, Luton look almost certain candidates for the drop !
How the **** do they come up with this 'expected goals' nonsense? Brighton had 78% possession against West Ham, 26 shots on goal, 10 of which were on target with Areola performing miracles in the West Ham goal, yet Brighton's expected goals number was only 1.42!
Feisty as **** between Toon and Scouse ****ers. 1-0 to Toon and Dick Van Dyke sent off. Hilarious stuff.
