    Norwich fan in peace.

Gutted to see Brandon Williams is looking at joining you guys. You'll love him. Works like mad and wesrs his heart on his sleeve. Going to be difficult to see him in Blue and White. Would have loved to have seen him back at Nodge.

Best of luck for the rest of the season... good start! OTBC :emoticon-0110-tongu

Sounds like a potential good replacement for Leigh if he goes, however I've seen him come on and defend out lead so well when the oppositions starts putting more crosses in and lumping it forwards. He's a great sub to bring on for that. Whilst Williams sounds of good pedigree, not sure he would be able to do the same.

I also rate Leigh, he does well for us whenever he plays. I can also understand that he wants first team football and he’s not going to get ahead of Davis the way that lad has been playing.

Williams would be a good deputy replacement and is more versatile than Leigh. McKenna obviously rates Williams from his time at Manchester United, so it seems like sensible recruitment on our part.

A loan for a squad player in that psoition seems like a bad idea. Nobody goes on loan from Man United to happily sit on the bench.

I think the loan deal includes a transfer option, seems to to fit the present acquisition profile to me,plus KMc has previously worked with him.I see it as a positive move.

Kieran’s got a tough job to keep everyone happy! I don’t see how he can drop Davis.

Indeed, I'm glad McKenna has stopped the constant rotation and 60 minute subs from when he first joined and the first half of last season but the negative seems to be that top back up players like Edwards and Leigh want to leave. This is also where having a strong academy would be beneficial. I wonder whether half an eye will be kept on Ndaba who seems to be having some success as LB with a view to being Leigh's longer term replacement.

I doubt it PTC, not if Williams is a loan with a view to a permanent signing!!

We all have got to like Edwards & Leigh. Always sad to see players leave. Both have shown many qualities, but coming on as subs and not being 1st choice is not what a player really seeks in his professional development.

In McKenna we trust, and he knows where he needs to strengthen for the longer term. Williams is perhaps his 1st signing in shaping his squad ready for the Prem!

Done deal. This will definitely put the cat amongst the pigeons. We are in uncharted territory as a club now. Nobody has ever tried to name more or less the same XI each week whilst keeping 22 elite level players happy.

Went into town this morning, had churros and chocolate for breakfast, half hour later (11.30) had 2 Estrella Galicias. Then came home, 2 daughters came over, got in the pool, done a case of lager between the 3 of us, then spotted the bottle of vermouth in the fridge, had 2 glasses of that neat and then saw the news that Williams deal is done, thanks to Yorkie!! Then spent the next half hour explaining to the girls how Ipswich will win the league and how Williams signing for us is one up the arse for the sister shaggers!!
Now have to eat and then have a kip, this is tho, a bloody good day!!
    Cheers everyone!!

Woke up this morning, had a bowl of Shreddies and a half-empty glass of orange juice for breakfast. Sat in front of my laptop at home, 'working'. An hour later (9.30am) had a pint of blackcurrant squash. I open the fridge and stare at the cans of BrewDog - 'maybe later' I mutter to myself. Had another pint of blackcurrant squash, not neat (I added water) and then saw the news that the Williams deal is done, thanks to TWTD!! Mrs Nuggets has finished work, so I spend a couple of minutes explaining to her how Ipswich might actually get top six and that Williams played for Norwich on loan and left in a blaze of controversy. 'He sounds like a bit of a b***end' she comments, before leaving the room. 'One up the arse for the sister shaggers?' I ask rhetorically, to the walls.
Nearly finished work, the BrewDogs are calling. I won't answer, not yet. Sleep is too far away. Is today a bloody good day?
    Cheers everyone!!

This is an interesting signing. I know he prefers playing LB but can’t see him replacing Leif. Might be an option at RB? or cover for both with maybe donacien leaving? My only concern is that if we got a ridiculous offer from a prem club for Leif in the last few days of the transfer window, would we turn it down (I’m talking in the range of £20m) and courier still hasn’t delivered the CB

I'm the same (doesn't help being on a computer all day).
Will be very disappointed if we don't at least get another CF in, but not sure who's out there
