    It would
But even if he was given to us we'd say we couldn't afford his wages

But we can buy all these not quite yet ready players and pay their wages, how about we buy fewer, but pay them more, net wages costs Would be the same

There is no way am I going to accept funds being an excuse if this season whimpers into nothing and we finish below mid table.. to me that would be a complete failure from the manager..
Nige has now had the time and the squad he’s assembled to compete in the way he sees fit. We should now be seeing the fruits, to why he was brought in, with his high profile, experience and expertise.
I’ve not heard him once saying he needs the funds to be able to compete. He’s always said he doesn’t want players for the sake of and they would have to be better than we already have..
I believe he should have the players we got all singing from the same hymn book, there should be a harmony in the way we play.. anticipation from players should be key.. I believe we had glimpses of it after the World Cup last season.. players being brought in should complement what we have already.
My worry of the 3 league games we’ve had, they’re not gelling or up to speed in how we want to play.
The hope I have is, it’s very early days and it will come together. Otherwise I will have the opinion that Nige has been a complete waste of time and money. As it sits. My glass is half full!!

He’s having to shop in the basement pool, it’s the hierarchy dictating the wages we can pay, he’s trying to work in the limits set from above. We have enough young players with potential already at the club, bringing more in just blocks the pathway, we need to by quality now not quantity. You should aim your rathe at SL not NP

The "rath" as you put it is aimed at the manager, as some on here have blamed the manager, and manager alone for everything at the club previously, even though, to those not blinded by hate, it was obvious it was all driven by SL, as it is now.

I think they blame SL for appointing LJ in the first place and allowing him so much scope, along with Ashton to fritter money on players

For me, he's been the one thing that's always held us back in certain vital respects from what we might (and I stress the word might) or could have been.

    Absolutely this.

    Not hindsight either.
From day one I wrote how divisive LJ was as a player and would be as a manager.
Wasn't in many fans eyes worth a place as a player and certainly not as a manager.
And still to this day Lee Johnson divides the City fan base.

In all my years of following City and all of the mistakes at the top that have been made during those 55 or so years, Johnson Junior is the one and only appointment that I really objected to

I tell you now not getting a No 9 in is going to bite us on the ass.

wells is a fraction of the player at Burnley and his previous clubs

Bell is still raw and looked completely lost against Brum.

Cornick just not clicking for him since his arrival.

weimann been poor for a long while now.

I struggle to see where the goals are going to come from.

Tommy Conway out till October that is a lot of points to play for.

    I know
    And that’s the issue
Stay in limbo with big talk and no real progress or take possibly tainted foreign money which could lead to the top flight or extinction
    It ain’t an easy choice

I’d rather we brought in one player of his quality, than three “ones for the future” and used up our wage limit that way. We’ve enough young players with potential.

What's with the new signing from WBA? Why don't West Brom want to keep him and if he is on their scrap heap then why on earth do we need him so badly on a season long loan. Is this really all the commitment we are prepared to give in this obviously misguided venture when we take an apparently unwanted young man, but only until the end of this season? I suppose now we have no class players we might as well try and fill all the leaks with second rate and over-the-hill players designed only to get us nowhere ahead of our current position. How much longer do we and NP have to sit back and take this nonsense on board about us taking a real run at it this season when we see almost nothing new to whet our appetite for forking over more money to witness the same old rubbish?
