Juventus goalkeeper Szczesny says he wouldn't be swayed by Saudi - " I'm not interested in Saudi football. I have enough money. Being a Juventus goalkeeper is the best challenge I can have. I understand that someone can make this decision but I think it's worth thinking about other objectives than money."

Good to see some players taking this attitude.

In fairness if we had 3 leagues and 2 Italian cups and the prospect of more to come why would we want to sweat it out and maybe not get paid over there.

He has two arsenal fa cup medals as well. No issue with keeping going.

Mahrez, in similar position, left city to go there.

Well, when you've won it all and probably don't see an issue with killing people at the border or beheading random people..............

I mean I'm sure Szczesny feels the standard of football is far too low for him to feel motivated rather than many moral scruples.

interesting bit about Chelsea’s lack of sponsor.
all seems Very dodgy. Lots of diff companies and merges all with links of Boehly with company only having turnover of 15m yet willing to sponsor a company for 40m a season.
on face value seems very much like a way to invest own money to help ffp

What the scrutiny is understood to be focused on is the link between Boehly and Clearlake Infinite Athlete, a company only created in recent weeks through a merger between two companies, Tempus Ex Machine and Biocore. The former of those two companies entered into a seven-year agreement with Chelsea back in April to become a technology partner.

One of the issues is that Infinite Athlete counts US private equity firm Silver Lake as a major investor, with Silver Lake also having major investment into American sports apparel firm Fanatics, where Eldridge Industries, an investment firm owned by Boehly, also has significant investment.

While those somewhat convoluted investment links will likely pass the sniff test when it comes to the Premier League, perhaps of more concern to those tasked with investigating will be the fact that Infinite Athlete’s annual turnover stands at $15.4m, and how the financials for a £40m per year deal with Chelsea will stack up.

if they nail Chelsea for this before they've nailed city for fake revenues you have to seriously question

City is better at football AND cooking the books. Chelsea do both sloppily and may get caught.

To be fair, it's not like chelsea have even tried to hide what they're doing. It's like a kid playing hide and seek, stood behind the curtains with his feet showing giggling like ****.

I've only heard about the crass sky comments regarding dyche wearing black tie and pants with black armband.

they were having a laugh at dyche for looking like a cheap casino bouncer or whatever.

he was dressed for respect to the young lad that died at the Everton stadium project.

frankly sky's fake apology "oh I'm sorry you left offended" type apology

Didn’t hear it, but was anyone actually offended by someone commenting on how dyche was dressed? Seems pretty weird thing to get offended over

Well I suppose if you are Everton fans or anyone who knew the young lad and why dyche showed a small sign of respect you might be offended by their complete and utter lack of info as if the lad who died didn't matter but having a go did

Dyche may have been, plus anyone accosted to the club or lad.

I know we're in a culture where people are over sensitive but I think mocking/joking about Dyche was rather tasteless

I think it's just a case of very poor judgement, if you are going to crack a joke/pull a funny live on air you should at least get someone in production to find out why someone is wearing a black armband beforehand.
Probably just a casual bit of crac spur of the moment kind of thing with no harm/irreverance intended but in live broadcasting you really have to think before the funny.

it's incompetent. their briefing docs on the game should have included the fact that this was an away game but first since the incident
