Admittedly he has shown next to nothing for us. But before we signed him he was highly thought of in Europe and Bordeux only sold for financial reasons. So I am assuming there is a player in there somewhere. Hopefully a loan will help him develop and at least add a bit of resale value if nothing else.
If we were prepared to move for Piroe now, I would like to think that we could get him (assuming that no PL club joined the race). But if we're waiting to see what happens with Che first, then at this very late stage of the window I suspect it could cost us. If and when Piroe has an offer on the table from Leeds, would he want to wait for us and risk missing out altogether? (That said, if we keep Che, then missing out of Piroe won't have "cost us".)
Another day another meltdown given rumours about Piroe and Archer going elsewhere. Will need to avoid Twitter ! Perhaps the Adams deal isn’t as done as the “ITK” Everton fan on Twitter was claiming. It would feet be strange for us to not be moving for a replacement if the Adams deal was a formality. Unless we are an it just isn’t public
Archer just feels more Saints to me. Especially knowing that AVFC want a buy-back clause. Plus I struggle to see Swansea wanting to sell us both Wood and Piroe before the window shuts. Could be totally wrong but would be happy with either replacing Ché in any case.
Wonder what the buy back is set at. There is a gap in the PL for teams to do this now that we've been relegated. Brighton don't seem to like the buy back clause and would rather find more obscure talent which they seem to be incredibly good at anyway so fair enough.
