2 kids now rescued in Pakistan It wasn’t looking good after a couple of failed attempts. Darkness is coming so hopefully the remaining 6 get out safe and sound.
Buenos dias. Got the whole day to myself and very little work to do. 25k steps, chest and back session at lunch and watch Hibs lose 7-0 later. Summer has arrived for a few days at least.
Of course. Just wwlked over Hammersmith bridge I call it the fake bridge 47 years they been fixing it
From what I gather they realised the helicopter was too risky in the end, either that or the people in the cart were to afraid to make the leap of faith, so they sent a couple of guys along on pulleys in the end to pick them out, then hauled them in with aid of the people on the hilltop - well that's what it looks like to me. All safe now I think.
Morning. My old mans scan results were rather positive. 100% of his cancer is still there but 80% of it has shrunk. There’s a tumour in his lung which has grown from 7cm to 16cm so that’s quite worrying. No treatment at all now until he has another scan in October. If it’s continued to grow, they’ll be giving him a different chemo to try and attack it. My results were disappointing so I can only look after him 1 week a month now and I need to rest up the other 23/24 days. My holiday insurance quote has gone up from £105 to over £700 so I’ve sacked it off and I’ll take my chances. Off out for the newspapers and then I’ll be putting our bets on for the York meeting.
Yeah all out. Apparently they brought in some specialists from other areas when the helicopters had to be abandoned because of the dark and strong winds. Had them all saved using a zip line. Good to see.
In regards to the insurance Saf, I had this trouble many years ago, but oddly enough one of my bank accounts didn't - it's where you pay x amount each month and you get car and mobi insurance as well. I rang up where you have to admit previous/current medical conditions, but they will insure you for everything bar that. Worth a thought, but they might have tightened up on this by now, as I binned it off because haven't been abroad for about 4 years.
