If anyone thinks singing songs in praise of an illegal terrorist organisation, who have murdered innocent members of the public, at a game of football is a sensible, tasteful thing to do then they deserve what's coming to them.

My son - a Celtic fan to my embarrassment - goes to Parkhead occasionally and should not have to listen to songs in praise of the murderers of his relatives. It's football for **** sake, not a Republican Rally.

If you wish to sing such ****e then do it at the appropriate place, not at a sporting event.

If it was a new defence fund I might be willing to contribute, we have a roppy defence and last time we went to Inverness it was shown up badly.

Yest that's right someone is talking about the actual football!

No one is saying its tasteful
No one is saying its nice

But people are effectively being imprisoned for upsetting people

It shouldn't be any more illegal in a sports arena than in a rally

It's up to Celtic to stop it if they want to...its their property

But its absurd that people are going to prison for singing

You know who else used to imprison people who sang...

And the point is Celtic Board and Management have asked fans to stop singing these songs. Yet people persist much the same as they do at Ibrox.

I'll judge you by your comment allowing your son going to Celtic games , our club has been put in the dock by a couple of neds singing their songs . Your club last season in the league cup final to a man sang your dodgy songs which you got off with scot free .There was also the case of behind closed door game in Milan , your EXECUTIVE fans were quite clearly heard singing their sectarian songs on telly , never compare our club with your club on this topic

When rangers fans embarrassed themselves in Europe....UEFA fined the club then banned the fans

    They didn't send in Interpol

    SFA can fine the clubs

The clubs can close the doors to the fans

Why they don't? Well because....its not actually a SERIOUS problem

How much trouble is there at grounds now a days? **** all.

The SNP and Police are imposing their ideals when closing the doors is the "simples" of ideas

If an illegal activity is in progress the cops are supposed to shut it down

So if what is sung in football grounds is illegal....why don't they.....why don't they pressure the clubs to shut up shop?

    Because of money?
    Because if fear?
    Because of agendas?
    Because its nor actually illegal?

    Or

Because a 17 year old won't kick up a fuss?

The boy was remanded for a month? out of pure curiosity and by the way i speak from vast experience how the **** do you get a month remand just for singing a song - I'm sorry but its obvious hes a little dickhead on the side and has plenty of previous convictions the new laws might be controversial but no one gets remanded for any period of time unless they have been a **** - 2 months ago some eejit i knew from childhood got bailed on an attempted murder charge and your telling me this boy just got remanded for no good reason.

    Having a laugh.

Maybe he should stop being a fussy **** and find a decent solicitor himself like the rest of us have to do, if he wasn't smart enough to apply for bail then the wee **** deservedly ended up on remand its his own fault for being stubborn.

This clearly has nothing to do with the singing its the fact he was locked up that everyones pissed off, yet he didn't even bother trying to get bail - no sympathy from me if he had been locked up for singing then your right it would've been a joke but fact of the matter is if hes no got the sense to get a solicitor like the rest of us scum then hes better off on remand to keep the world from his stupidity.
