False flags have been widely used by many nations in their attempts to make up another reason why things are getting worse against the opponents. I can remember quite a few years ago where an apartment building was essentially demolished somewhere deep in the depths of Russia's hinterland by a large explosion that was later determined to have been set up by the Kremlin, apparently to send a message to someone who didn't like Putin and his rule of terror. I am totally skeptical of most words coming from Putin and so I suspect him of everything bad inflicted on the Russian population, and the one where I really did smell a very large rat were the drones that hit the Kremlin a few months ago. I read today that NATO and the EU suspect that many Wagner troops, currently in Belarus, are now slithering across the border into Poland, and possibly other countries, where trouble could be inflamed by these mercenary thugs interested in nothing else other than murder. The world is sliding into a very dark area and with the advancement of Wagner murderers taking over a lot of Central Africa, with Russian support, and the future of the sub-saharan part of Africa is falling under the influence of either Russia or China. If there is any bright light it is probably that neither Russia or China are likely to join forces in their individual attempts to take over and influence massive parts of the globe to gain control over millions of poor susceptible peoples and their lands and resources. As an afterthought I see that Putin, after the cancellation of the grain export agreement, is lately targeting the infrastructure in the dock area and other shipping facilities to further disrupt the possibility of further shipments. I am finding his obsession with stopping Ukrainian grain supplies being shipped seemingly flies in the face of his supposed love affair with African countries, some of which are the most in need of those vital supplies. How can they have faith in someone who has the solution to their food security in one hand and with the other he is cutting off his nose to spite his two faces and denying Africa at the same time? Sooner, rather than later, Russia will make a mistake and it will be up to the West to decide whether or not it was a deliberate act of aggression or just a miscalculation. Putin wants all of Ukraine to be his and unless we, as the reasonable minds in all of this mess, act accordingly then we risk democracy across the globe. Thankfully the repercussions of Russia's actions in Ukraine will not affect my life but those about whom I care about will have to mop up the mess, that is if there's anything left after the conflagration. I must confess that during my recent 12 day absence in Alberta where my son doesn't have any news channels available, so my granddaughters can't see all the world horrors, I turned off all thoughts in regards to Ukraine. When I returned to my normal life I found myself less eager to see and hear the atrocities that Russia is inflicting on Ukrainians and the wild fires burning throughout Canada took priority as you can imagine. Due to all of the other disasters around the globe most news channels almost put the conflict on the back page and my thoughts turned to hoping that the same scenario doesn't come into play with the nations supporting Ukraine. The nose to nose fighting seems to have taken a step backward but the indiscriminate targeting of civilian targets has been upped, apparently by both sides and although I was glad to see Zelensky taking the war to Russia I hope he doesn't piss off the dictator too much so as to spark something worse. In all honestly I don't think Vlad the destroyer of humanity has the balls to up the ante to such a point that the West will have to get involved with boots on the ground. This conflict is now turning into a long term guerilla type war that could go on for many years and if Russia's history in Afghanistan and Syria is anything to go by then there is hope for a reversal, but I won't hold my breath as we are dealing with a psychopath not a human being and that changes all the rules of sanity. I am rather hoping that the flight training needed by Ukrainian pilots to fly the new aircraft that are now at their disposal is way more advanced than some supporting countries are prepared to admit, which could mean an earlier dominance of the skies over Ukraine. Putin used the invasion of Ukraine supposedly to stem the rise of Nazism and to counter the threat of Western nations invading Russia, which we all know was a load of bollocks. During my brief time in the Territorials we were taken up close to the Iron Curtain in West Germany and told that one day this may be the site of the start of WW3 and how those words have stuck in my memory, especially with what is happening in that vital area. I have difficulty understanding why the Russian population isn't more aware of what Putin's special operation has brought to the country's doorstep. Putin put a clampdown on the news reaching the street but surely there has to be a percentage of the population that are getting the sad reality of what's actually happening. What happened to all of those men seen waiting to cross the border to sanity when a new conscription order was implemented, as they were shown in their thousands taking to the road to escape? Let's just suppose that somehow all of the truth were to hit the streets of Russia in such a way as to put serious doubts in the population's minds, I then ask what would really happen? We all thought that during the reign of Gorbachev when the Berlin Wall came down, and just about all of the ex-Soviet states headed towards independence, that the Cold War was well and truly banished for eternity. Sadly that did not come to pas for very long and another Russian murderer took over the reins with sweet smiles and diplomacy and eventually the real truth became very evident to the entire world, and we just sat by and watched when action would have spoken larger than words. Today it was announced that a former oil minister in Nigeria is facing fraud charges - so no surprize there then. You clearly pay more attention to all of the news across the globe and so you are able to inform more than I. It's interesting to see all of the other nations falling in behind Putin hoping for more aid, and the inevitable high cost of carrying such a financial load, and a securer future for them alone, and to hell with the plebs. Greed is power and all of the other bad words to describe self-appointed leaders of nations but the success is gained by the people and we have to hope that the general population of Russia will finally smell out the rat and rebel to change the future of their country.
