His own words showed him for the person he is. As to why she dropped the charges who knows however he is tainted goods. For all his footballing talent he’s another dickhead with too much money, and lack of respect towards women. He’s brought about his own downfall at Manchester United.
Went on way too long. Then had the leak that they were looking to integrate him, then the backlash to that, then the fact United were apparently waiting for the women’s team to come back and the lionesses to consult with them - as if making them give a decision was a better idea. They also haven’t sacked him. They still hold his registration and looking to loan/sell him
I avoid all of this sort of scandal so I don't even know any details of what he's meant to have done, but to me it just demonstrates the dangers of giving impressionable and immature young men ridiculous amounts of money and idolatry. It goes to their heads (some, not all), and they believe themselves to be above the need to conform to acceptable standards of social behaviour.
You say this then go on to condem the lad. The police dropped the case because of evidence they recieved, Uniteds investigation found (on the same evidence) that he had no case to answer. Can anyone tell me what that evidence is/was because it hasn't been released, probably to save embarressment for someone.
Didn't the lass withdraw the charges? Without her testimony there's not a great deal to go on is there. Please don't try to defend him, the audio was horrific.
My comment was a general one about giving young men too much too soon - when they're too immature to deal with the fame and power. In the specific case of Greenwood, are you saying the case against him was fabricated? I'm just curious, because like I said, I don't know any details.
The two "witnesses" withdrew their statements after the new evidence came to light. I assume the "victim" and her mate who posted audio and pics to social media. I have a suspicion that some play acting went on, files were sent to friend and friend got a bit byond herself misreading the posts and put tem on social media. Just a wild guess but a reasonable explanation for the sudden dropping of the case by police and the clubs acceptance of innocence.
Like you i know as much as anyone else which is **** all. What i am saying is the police received evidence (which the club has seen) which made them drop all charges and the club state that they are happy that he didn't do anything. Believe me attempted rape and violence are not something i take from anyone, best mate United player or the King of England but i also ask questions and in this case the police seem to know a bit more than the average internet warrior.
I've heard more about it on here than I've read in the media. The charges being dropped don't necessarily mean he's been cleared. I'm not an advocate of the "no smoke without fire" attitude - people can fabricate accusations for all sorts of reasons - but I always think it would be better for everybody for such things to be brought out in the open. It would be better for him to be able to demonstrate that the charges were fallacious rather than leave it vague and allow suspicions to persist. Tbh, even when people are cleared the **** still sticks in the mind of some people. All I know is that if I was falsely accused of something I'd want the truth to be held up for all to see.
if this was the case why has Greenwoods team not put at least an outline in the public domain to help rehabilitate his reputation .
I think personally nobody can deny what was shared online. people can play the fake news card all they like but its out there. those include pretty clear no consent situations and images proving assault. The cops don't arrest people 3 times without evidence but its clear those parties involved were refusing to testify on the grounds that the clips we heard were not the "full picture" we don't know "what the full picture" means
Ok, like I said I usually avoid gossip and scandal, but there's so much about this on the board that I listened to the tape so that I'm not expressing an opinion based on ignorance. What I hear is an immature knuckle-dragger with no idea how to conduct social interactions and no respect for others, frustrated because he can't get his own way. It just confirms my belief that throwing huge amounts of money at such people is a travesty. It amazes me that we make multi-millionaires of people because they can kick a ball when far more worthy people struggle to get by. He's young, perhaps he'll learn and grow, perhaps not - I just despair at the type of people who become idols to a whole community. Now I'd like to forget about this again and talk about football. Or fluffy kittens. Or anything that doesn't make me angry. Come to think of it, fluffy kittens do make me angry, scratchy little bastards.
Hmm, bit of a contradiction there. Not going to make any jokes about this (not yet anyway) - hope it's nothing serious.
playing the Best line ups game again Arsenal: unbalanced and unhinged just like thier manager Raya/Ramsdale White Saliba Gabriel Zinchenko (wtf was arteta at last night btw) Rice Saka Havertz Odengaard Martinelli Jesus Utd: Dodgy as ****. again quite unbalanced and going backwards Onana (dodgy) wanbissaka Varane Martinez Shaw Casemiro Anthony Mount Fernandez Rashford Hojund Spurs: an interesting start so far, relying on the yard dog up top is a problem and they will be all out attack but more balance to them than the first two vicario Porro Romero Van De Ven Udogie Sarr Bissouma Kulusevski Maddison Son Richarilson Newcastle: Strong. Lets face it they are a proper strong first 11 with a lot of power but not brilliant in wide areas. Might struggle somewhat in better games but will cream a lot of sides by strength and power alone. Pope Trippier Schar Botman Burn Tonali guimaraes Joelinton Almiron Isak Gordon chelsea (LOL) first problem is they won't actually play their best 11 and second is they have half their players injured. Sanchez (wtf) James (injured) fofana (injured) Badishile (injured) Chillwell (half fit) Caicedo Fernandez (won't play here) Madueke (only rw option lol) Nkunku (injured) Sterling Jackson 9not good enough) If we were just a bit better drilled and looking like a team I'd say we could take them all on. We have the goals in the team but we just look so so poor defensively. If newcastle score enough (and they might) they are the real threat to 3rd behind arsenal. Spurs might shock the others, who knows but defensively they are weak. One side is mean at the back and the other is going to go all out attack. Man utd just... i don;t know what they've been at honestly, none o fit makes a lot of sense. I just hope we can get ourselves sorted in some form of system to get the best out of all of the players
