Can you imagine being in a 12x8 room with two other blokes for the rest of your life, some people would choose to be hanged.
It’s a pity it’s still not like that now However there will have a cell for themselves like a small studio with tv kettle phone toilet and possibly a shower nice little digs That’s for most lifer prisoners times have changed especially over the last 5 years
PlayStation, stuff brought in for them, Sky TV etc. Some people live poorer lives than that outside of prison.
Yes,and it's a hard life, but going out for a walk in the cold, early morning just as the sun comes up,feeling the lap of the waters on your feet, the wind in your face, the sand in your feet.....beats Playstation any day, and doesn't cost much. That's what she'll never feel!! Love Roker me.
I was replying to the post that said all the Human rights lawyers who will make her stay more comfortable.
Just as well they do. Without them there'd be more like this ... https://news.sky.com/story/andrew-m...d-lodging-should-he-get-compensation-12928748
When you can write your own cheque from the legal aid cheque book , I guess lawyers find it pretty easy
The day we decide some of the population don't merit a fair trial would be a big step backwards. Who decides ... Liz Truss, Boris, King Charles, the panel from Goggle Box, public vote, the arresting officer, poll in the Telegraph? Nah, the system is fine imo.
The police withheld evidence ... ... it's them that should be on trial. You only get one life and this bloke's has been destroyed. He may be out but, in his mind, he'll never be free.
Apparently he has to prove his own innocence before he gets any compensation. So he is still no better off.
They won’t find them, they are in statute, you or I could and do rely on them. Of course the key ones like deprivation of Liberty is not an absolute right and no number of appeals will change that.
